Now the owner of a 2.79 ERA and 0.97 WHIP, Vargas remains a completely different pitcher at home than he is on the road, but making at least half his starts in Safeco Field, he should have what it takes to remain mixed-league valuable. You may want to keep him benched on Tuesday, however, where he'll take on the Red Sox in Boston.
