Jason Vargas got pummeled by the Cubs in Monday's loss, allowing seven runs on eight hits and one walk in just 2/3 of an inning. Vargas was as bad as you can be one outing after allowing five runs in four innings, serving up three doubles while requiring 36 pitches to record his two outs. Slated to face the A's in Japan next week, Vargas has posted a 12.46 ERA and 6/2 K/BB ratio through 8 2/3 spring innings.
