Jason Vargas pitched five innings of two-run ball in a 7-3 victory over the A's on Friday night. Both runs came on a Yoenis Cespedes homer in the fourth. Vargas got the run support today he failed to receive in his outing in Japan. Of course, that's likely to be an issue for him all season long.
