Pearce is out of the lineup Sunday against the Yankees, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
Manager Buck Showalter elected to squeeze an extra left-handed bat into his lineup with righty Michael Pineda on the hill for the Yankees, as Ryan Flaherty will displace Pearce at second base. The unexpected reps at second base have given Pearce increased versatility for fantasy owners, but his inability to get much going at the plate this season has limited his overall impact.

Pearce is out of the lineup Friday, MLB.com's Brittany Ghiroli reports.
Ryan Flaherty was activated from the DL Friday and will take over the second base duties, presumably on most nights. Pearce has not done enough with his bat thus far to warrant playing time on a regular basis, and he will could start the majority of games on the bench going forward.

Pearce (illness) is in the lineup and starting at second base for Thursday's game against the Yankees, MASN's Roch Kubatko reports.
Pearce will start at second base for the fourth time this season, as the Orioles now appear to prefer him over Jimmy Paredes at the keystone. Ryan Flaherty (groin) is on track to rejoin the Orioles on Friday, but he typically doesn't play against lefties, which means Pearce should pick up some more starts at second base. Pearce's illness seems like a non-issue, given that he was able to pinch-hit in Wednesday's game against the Mets.

Pearce (illness) pinch hit Wednesday and it appears he will be available Thursday against the Yankees, MASN Sports reports.
The window is closing on Pearce's playing time at second base, but he should be able to find a spot in the lineup most days now that the Orioles are returning to AL parks. Pearce missed two starts after being removed Sunday and is off to a slow start on the season, slashing just .183/.265/.300.

Pearce (illness) is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Mets, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
Pearce has been dealing with an illness since being removed from Sunday's game, and it appears it will cause him to miss his second consecutive contest. He should still be considered day-to-day, with Jimmy Paredes getting the start at second in his stead.

Pearce (illness) is not feeling any better Tuesday, and he's not sure whether he will be available to pinch-hit against the Mets, MASN's Roch Kubatko reports.
While this doesn't bode well for Pearce's chances of returning to the lineup Wednesday, he'll likely be ready to play by the end of the week. The timing is decent for Baltimore, with the team not needing a DH at Citi Field. Delmon Young and Travis Snider will flank Adam Jones in the outfield Tuesday night.

Pearce (illness) is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mets, MASN's Roch Kubatko reports.
Peace was removed in favor of a pinch hitter during Sunday's game against the Rays, and it seems he's still recovering from the illness. This isn't a bad time for him to miss a game or two, as the Orioles only need eight position players in the lineup for Tuesday's interleague game at Citi Field. Jimmy Paredes is starting at second base, with Delmon Young and Travis Snider at the corner-outfield spots.

Pearce was lifted for a pinch hitter in the sixth inning of Sunday's game due to a stomach illness, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
Pearce was able to log two at-bats after getting the start at second base, but his symptoms caught up to him and he needed to be removed. Consider him day-to-day in advance of Tuesday's interleague matchup with the Mets.

Pearce appears set to play multiple games at second base, according to MASN Sports.
Pearce made his first career start at that position Friday against the Rays. He handled himself well, but he is still adjusting to a position he has never played in his 10-year professional career. The Orioles have few options with Jonathan Schoop and Ryan Flaherty on the DL. Flaherty should be activated in another week or so and that means it will be difficult for Pearce to get 10 games at the position to gain second base eligibility. Those that have five-game position eligibility might be in luck.

Pearce will make his first career start at second base Friday against the Rays, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
Pearce will bat sixth in the order for the Orioles, but injuries have forced them to turn to him at second base as well. It may not be a long-term solution, but if he can prove the ability to play the position, his bat could make him an option in the everyday lineup.
