Pearce (illness) is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mets, MASN's Roch Kubatko reports. Peace was removed in favor of a pinch hitter during Sunday's game against the Rays, and it seems he's still recovering from the illness. This isn't a bad time for him to miss a game or two, as the Orioles only need eight position players in the lineup for Tuesday's interleague game at Citi Field. Jimmy Paredes is starting at second base, with Delmon Young and Travis Snider at the corner-outfield spots.
