Pearce is out of the lineup Friday, MLB.com's Brittany Ghiroli reports. Ryan Flaherty was activated from the DL Friday and will take over the second base duties, presumably on most nights. Pearce has not done enough with his bat thus far to warrant playing time on a regular basis, and he will could start the majority of games on the bench going forward.
