Pearce (illness) is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Mets, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports. Pearce has been dealing with an illness since being removed from Sunday's game, and it appears it will cause him to miss his second consecutive contest. He should still be considered day-to-day, with Jimmy Paredes getting the start at second in his stead.
