Pearce was lifted for a pinch hitter in the sixth inning of Sunday's game due to a stomach illness, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports. Pearce was able to log two at-bats after getting the start at second base, but his symptoms caught up to him and he needed to be removed. Consider him day-to-day in advance of Tuesday's interleague matchup with the Mets.
