Wisler (2-6) was tagged for eight runs on nine hits in just four innings Sunday against the Dodgers. He walked three and struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
Wisler's streak of six-consecutive quality starts came to an end in a big way. After a stellar May, in which he allowed just two home runs in 43 innings, the right-hander gave up three longballs in his first start of June. Wisler has been the rare bright spot on MLB's worst team in 2016, and he's deserving of a free-pass on this one. The righty will try to rebound next time out when he takes the hill against the Cubs on Saturday.

Wisler (2-5) allowed three runs on four hits and two walks with two strikeouts over seven innings in a loss Tuesday against San Francisco
EDGE Analysis
One of the few bright spots for Atlanta this season, Wisler now has thrown quality starts all six times he has taken the hill this May. He finishes the month with a solid 29:10 K:BB in 43 innings. While he may not have the strikeout ability to be an elite fantasy pitcher (6.3 K/9), Wisler has shown very good control and an ability to keep hitters off balance. The 23-year-old looks to have a nice future in the middle of Atlanta's rotation.

Wisler (2-4) tossed six innings Thursday against the Brewers, allowing three runs on six hits and two walks while fanning seven.
EDGE Analysis
The 23-year-old righty has fanned at least seven in three straight outings, and he threw his fifth straight quality start despite the loss. During his last five outings, Wisler has punched out 27 and walked eight through 36 frames. His numbers aren't sexy by any means, but he's on the right track for sure, and he'll look to keep it going in his next start against the Giants on Tuesday.

Wisler allowed just one run on five hits, walking two and striking out seven over 6.2 innings of a 7-1 win over the Phillies on Friday night.
EDGE Analysis
Just a very solid performance for Wisler (2-3) as he lowered his ERA to an impressive 2.93 while becoming the first Atlanta hurler to notch two wins on the season. Interestingly, he was lifted with two outs in the seventh inning even though he had thrown just 95 pitches (61 for strikes), but his departure did not appear to be injury related. He'll take on the Brewers in Atlanta next time out.

Wisler allowed two runs on eight hits while striking out seven over 7.1 innings, but received no decision Sunday at the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
Although he pitched well, Wisler left the game with a two-run deficit, but the offense came up big in the ninth inning to take him off the hook for a potential loss. He's now tossed quality starts in four of his last five outings to lower his ERA to 3.14. He'll make his next start Friday at the Phillies.

Wisler (1-3) lasted eight innings and allowed three runs on eight hits and two walks with two strikeouts but took the loss Tuesday against Philadelphia.
EDGE Analysis
Wisler has now lasted eight innings in consecutive starts and has four quality starts in his last five (as well as a save in a clean inning in an extra innings contest April 17). He is still struggling to find strikeouts, however, as he only managed a pair despite 10 swinging strikes. Wisler has just a 5.4 K/9 this season, and his command will have to be impeccable if he's going to maintain his 3.27 ERA while allowing such consistent contact. He allowed his fifth home run in six starts Tuesday. That's a worrying sign, as the home run was an issue for him in 2015 as well (16 allowed in 19 starts).

Wisler (1-2) tossed eight shutout innings with four strikeouts and allowed just one hit and two walks in Tuesday's win over the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
Wisler didn't miss many bats (seven swinging strikes), but he changed speeds effectively, ranging from 76 MPH with his curveball to 96.4 MPH with his fastball. As a result, the Mets were off balance all night, and although they launched 14 fly balls off Wisler, none of them were able to leave the yard. Wisler hasn't been so lucky for much of the year -- he has surrendered four homers in his five starts -- but he has still been effective thus far, with a 3.24 ERA in 33.1 innings.

Wisler gave up five runs on five hits and three walks while striking out three over five innings in a loss to the Red Sox on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
After allowing just one unearned run over 6.2 innings against the Dodgers his last time out, Wisler was knocked around for four runs in the first inning Tuesday. The fifth run against Wisler scored on a wild pitch in the top of the fifth. Wisler once again received little help from the Braves' offense, as they were only able to score two runs in eight innings against David Price, and that will likely remain a theme for Wisler and all Braves pitchers throughout the season.

Wisler (0-1) has a 2.53 ERA and .210 opponent batting average over his last 10 outings, which includes eight starts, but he owns just a 3-3 record during that stretch.
EDGE Analysis
The run support the Braves have provided for Wisler has been atrocious. Atlanta has averaged just 2.2 runs per nine innings over his last 10 outings. In three starts this season, the Braves are scoring 1.67 runs per game, the second-lowest run support in the league, when Wisler is on the mound. Even if Wisler continues to pitch well, wins may be hard to come by for him in Atlanta.
