Wisler is set to pitch the second contest of Saturday's doubleheader against the Mets, David O'Brien of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander will be allowed to join Atlanta's roster as the 26th man on the team due to the doubleheader, and is slated to make his first start of the year Saturday. Wisler has compiled nine innings of work at the major-league level this season, allowing seven earned runs and a 1.33 WHIP. He has only managed three strikeouts during his time and has faced the Mets on three of his six appearances in 2017, getting roughed up for all seven of his runs given up on nine hits in four innings of work. In his previous start for Triple-A Indianapolis, Wisler allowed two earned runs in five innings during a loss this past Sunday.

Wisler was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
He has pretty clearly fallen out of favor with the Braves, as he was used exclusively as a reliever in his stay with the big-league club, and failed to deliver, posting a 7.00 ERA and just three strikeouts in nine innings. Wisler was once seen as a fairly safe No. 3 or No. 4 starter, but his future is now uncertain. He has a 5.20 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 25:9 K:BB in 36.1 innings over six starts at Triple-A this season.

Wisler was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Wisler got knocked around during his last stint in the big leagues, posting seven earned runs across two appearances, which eventually led to a demotion. The right-hander will now return to the Braves, but without a clear rotation spot open, Wisler seems destined for long relief.

Wisler was optioned back to Triple-A Gwinnett after Wednesday's game.
EDGE Analysis
Wisler was sent down after a couple of brutal back-to-back outings, allowing seven runs through two innings over his last two games. Wisler will head back to Gwinnett for the time being, though he should remain one of the Braves' top options should they need a spot start or some length out of the bullpen. The Braves are expected to announce a corresponding roster move sometime Thursday.

Wisler was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Wisler was in competition for the team's final starting rotation spot during spring training, but was ultimately beat out by Mike Foltynewicz. In three starts with Triple-A Gwinnett, the 24-year-old posted a 3.50 ERA and an 11:4 K:BB ratio over 18 innings. He'll round out the back-end of the Braves' bullpen.

Wisler was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution's David O'Brien reports.
EDGE Analysis
It seemed pretty clear that Wisler would lose out on his bid to make the rotation out of camp, as Mike Foltynewicz has been the better pitcher over the past year. Wisler will likely be the first pitcher summoned from Triple-A when the Braves have need of a replacement starter. He still has the potential to be a No. 3 or No. 4 starter long term, and makes for a nice buy-low option in deeper leagues.

Wisler allowed just one hit and struck out two over four shutout innings in Friday's Grapefruit League game against the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
Facing a Houston split-squad lineup that included George Springer, Brian McCann and Yulieski Gurriel, Wisler matched Dallas Keuchel goose egg for goose egg before exiting the game. With Mike Foltynewicz pitching well this spring, Wisler has basically no chance of breaking camp as the Braves' fifth starter, but if he continues shining over the next couple of weeks he could win a long relief spot in the bullpen.

Wisler came on in relief of Jaime Garcia during Wednesday's Grapefruit League game against the Yankees and coughed up three runs on five hits in two innings.
EDGE Analysis
All three runs crossed the plate in the third inning, but Wisler was able to settle down after that. The 24-year-old will begin the season at Triple-A Gwinnett and could be falling behind Aaron Blair in the picking order for a potential midseason call-up, but a strong campaign at Gwinnett will still keep Wisler in the Braves' rotation plans for 2018 and beyond.

Wisler will likely begin the season at Triple-A Gwinnett after the Braves re-stocked their rotation with veteran arms this offseason, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bartolo Colon, R.A. Dickey and Jaime Garcia will all slot in behind Julio Teheran in the rebuilt rotation, with Mike Foltynewicz well ahead of Wisler in the battle for the fifth spot. The 24-year-old has had a rough start to his big league career, posting a 4.88 ERA through his first 265.2 innings over the last two years, and he'll need to put together a strong Triple-A campaign to stay in the club's future plans, given the wealth of prospect talent coming up through the organization behind him.

Wisler (7-13) allowed five runs on nine hits, including three home runs in a loss to the Tigers on Friday. He also struck out three and walked two.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander tossed up three homers in the first three frames, including two to Miguel Cabrera. Wisler had been doing a much better job of keeping the ball in the park, but the three homers Friday means he finishes the year having allowed 26 bombs. His ERA will also rise to an even 5.00, which is a shame because Wisler pitched much better in his last two starts and was likely hoping to carry that momentum into the offseason.
