Wisler (1-3) lasted eight innings and allowed three runs on eight hits and two walks with two strikeouts but took the loss Tuesday against Philadelphia.
EDGE Analysis
Wisler has now lasted eight innings in consecutive starts and has four quality starts in his last five (as well as a save in a clean inning in an extra innings contest April 17). He is still struggling to find strikeouts, however, as he only managed a pair despite 10 swinging strikes. Wisler has just a 5.4 K/9 this season, and his command will have to be impeccable if he's going to maintain his 3.27 ERA while allowing such consistent contact. He allowed his fifth home run in six starts Tuesday. That's a worrying sign, as the home run was an issue for him in 2015 as well (16 allowed in 19 starts).
