Wisler, 22, is 3-4 with a 4.29 ERA, 1.24 WHIP, and 49:13 K:BB ratio over 65 innings at Triple-A Gwinnett this season.
Wisler became the Braves' top pitching prospect when he was acquired from the Padres in the Craig Kimbrel deal before Opening Day, but he's struggled a bit more in the International League than anticipated. As has been the case throughout his minor-league career, Wisler has shown pinpoint control (1.80 BB/9 rate), but his 6.7 K/9 rate represents his lowest mark at any level. In spite of the lack of dominance, Wisler still might rank at the top of the list for a promotion if any of the Braves' current rotation members should land on the DL.
