Wisler will be optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett, David O'Brien of the AJC reports.
EDGE Analysis
While the move has not been made official yet, interim manager Brian Snitker announced after Thursday's rough start that Wisler would be sent down to work through his struggles. After a hot start to the season, Wisler has been brutal in July, notching an 8.44 ERA and a 1.73 WHIP in four starts leading into Thursday. He was torched by the Phillies on Thursday as well, allowing six earned runs (including three home runs) in five innings to take his 11th loss of the season.

Wisler (4-11) was lit up for seven runs (six earned) on seven hits over five innings against the Phillies on Thursday. He walked two and struck out three in the loss.
EDGE Analysis
For the fourth time in his last 10 starts, Wisler allowed three home runs. After an impressive start to his 2016 campaign, the 23-year-old has completely fallen apart in July. In his five starts this month, the right-handed Wisler went 1-4 with a 9.23 ERA while surrendering nine home runs in 26.1 innings. He'll certainly be looking forward to beginning anew next month, however last year he went 0-4 with a 7.85 ERA in August.

Wisler was hit hard in Saturday's loss to the Rockies, giving up six earned runs on five hits and two walks across 5.1 innings. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Wisler cruised into the sixth inning having only allowed a couple of runs that came via the home run, but he was scored upon four times with just one out and was chased from the game after 86 pitches. Wisler has been in free-fall of late, as he has allowed 17 runs in his last 15.1 innings pitched to raise his ERA to 4.92. He will try to turn things around Friday versus the Phillies.

Wisler (4-9) allowed six runs on eight hits and two walks with three strikeouts over five innings in a loss Monday to the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
Wisler surrendered three home runs in the loss and has now given up five in just 10 innings over his past two starts. Wisler has shown decent control and an ability to generate ground balls, but he just has not been able to keep the ball in the yard. He has now given up 18 home runs in just 111.2 innings (1.5 HR/9) after allowing 16 in 109 innings (1.3 HR/9) last season. Unsurprisingly, his ERA is now up to 4.76, right in line with last year's mark of 4.71.

Wisler (4-8) allowed six runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out six over five innings to earn the win Friday at the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Wisler fell behind 4-3 in the second inning, but the Braves offense came up huge, providing him plenty of run support to help him earn his fourth win of the season. After firing three straight quality starts, his rough outing raised his ERA to 4.47 on the year. He'll make his next start after the All-Star break.

Wisler (3-7) pitched six quality innings in a no-decision against the Indians on Tuesday. He allowed two runs, six hits and two walks while setting a career high with nine strikeouts.
EDGE Analysis
After giving up two first-inning runs, Wisler settled in and was great throughout the 98-pitch outing. After two rough showings to begin the month (13 earned runs over eight innings), the sophomore has settled back into his normal routine of notching quality starts. However, Tuesday is a prime example of why the young right-hander's upside is limited - the Braves offense is the worst in MLB and there's nothing to suggest that will change any time soon.

Wisler allowed seven hits, four walks and three runs while striking out just one over 6.2 innings Thursday against the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
He left in line to lose, but ended up with no decision. Wisler had pitched to a 1.55 ERA with a 20:6 K:BB in his first four career appearances against the Mets, including eight shutout frames back on May 3; unfortunately, his control wasn't sharp in this one and he let the Mets rally for a trio of one-run innings. Control isn't typically Wisler's issue, but his lack of strikeouts (61 in 89.2 innings) and tendency to give up homers makes him a risky fantasy roll.

Wisler will start Thursday against the Mets, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wisler was originally supposed to start on Wednesday against the Marlins, however the Braves decided to move him to Thursday in order for John Gant to avoid pitching two consecutive starts against the Mets. Gant will now start Wednesday instead.

Wisler (3-7) defeated the Reds on Thursday behind 6.2 solid innings, allowing just two runs on eight hits and a pair of walks while striking out five.
EDGE Analysis
The Reds got runs off him in the first and third innings, but Wisler silenced them after that despite getting eaten up by Joey Votto, who got on base against him four times. With the victory, Wisler's snapped a four-game losing streak that had been particularly brutal over his last two starts (13 runs on 16 hits, including six homers, in just eight innings). As a flyball pitcher who can't afford to see those flies go over the fence thanks to the Braves' generally anemic offense, Wisler makes for a risky fantasy play, particularly considering that it seems likely there's more BABIP correction in store for him.

Wisler (2-7) allowed five runs on seven hits, struck out two and walked none over four innings in a 8-2 defeat to the Cubs on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander threw just 60 pitches, but he was ineffective through four frames. Wisler allowed three homers, and that wasn't going to be good enough to beat reigning NL Cy Young award winner Jake Arrieta. Wisler has yielded 13 runs and six homers in his last eight innings. That's elevated his ERA to 4.36. Wisler will try to get back on track in his next start Thursday versus the Reds.
