Not only was the eight strikeouts a season high, but he had never even had back-to-back starts with more than eight strikeouts total this year. His previous high was five against the Astros on June 7. Gibson remains a long shot to amass long-term value in mixed leagues, and we wouldn't want to take the chance on another strong outing with a road start against the Angels next on the schedule.
