Gibson closed out the season with two solid outings, but his full body of work this season left a lot to be desired. He finishes with a 4.47 ERA and 1.31 WHIP over 179.1 innings.

Gibson's manic up-and-down season continues as we close out the season. After three previous mediocre starts, where he allowed 15 runs on 21 hits and seven walks in 16 innings, Gibson reversed course with a gem on Tuesday. Gibson now possesses a 4.50 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 101:54 K:BB in 172 innings this year. He will make one more start, which is set for Sunday against the Tigers on the road.

Gibson picked up his 12th win of the season after allowing four runs on seven hits with three walks and three strikeouts in six innings versus the Tigers. Gibson's season is trending in the wrong direction, but he was still able to sneak out of this one with a victory. For now, he remains scheduled to start Tuesday against Detroit, but it wouldn't be surprising to see the Twins shut him down soon, considering the way he's flagged down the stretch.

Gibson will not make his scheduled start Wednesday night due to the postponement of Wednesday's game against the Indians. The Twins and Indians will make up Wednesday's game by playing a doubleheader Thursday. Gibson is lined up to start the early game and face off against Indians ace Corey Kluber.
