Jared Weaver wasn't at his best against the Yankees on Saturday, but still managed to pick up a victory, allowing five runs on ten hits over his seven frames.
He fanned four while walking just one in the game. Balls were flying out of Yankee Stadium on the day, with Curtis Granderson, Eric Chavez and Alex Rodriguez each finding the seats against Weaver. The poor outing should just be a blip on the radar for Weaver who has been incredible this season, posting an 11-1 record and 2.26 ERA through his first 16 starts. He'll take his next turn against the Rangers at home on Friday.

Jered Weaver faced little resistance from the Blue Jays Monday, tossing seven shutout innings on five hits and three walks while striking out two in the 3-0 victory.
Weaver started the eighth and allowed back-to-back singles to start the inning, but Scott Downs bailed him out, inducing a double-play ball and then a pop out. The right-hander has shown no ill effects since returning from a back injury, allowing just one run over three starts. He'll carry a nifty 2.13 ERA and 0.94 WHIP into this weekend's start against the Orioles.

Making his first start since May 28, Jered Weaver (back) held the Giants to two hits in six scoreless innings of Wednesday's 6-0 win.
He struck out three and walked two. Weaver threw just 78 pitches, and would have obviously gone much deeper had he not been on a pitch count. The ace of one of the American League's best staffs, Weaver should be all systems go from here on out. Through 75 innings, he's posted a 2.40 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 60/17 K/BB ratio. He'll get the Orioles in Baltimore next week.

Jered Weaver (back) will rejoin the Angels rotation Wednesday against the Giants.
Weaver completed another successful bullpen session Sunday and declared himself ready to go. He'll be limited to 80-90 pitches in his first start back. Weaver is expected to replace Garrett Richards in the rotation, though the Angels are saying an official decision hasn't been made. Dan Haren's next scheduled start will be pushed back from Wednesday to Friday.

Jered Weaver (back) feels good a day after Sunday's bullpen session and announced that he's ready to rejoin the Angels rotation.
The Halos haven't said when it will be, but Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com thinks Weaver will start one of the games this weekend against the Dodgers. The veteran right-hander is expected to replace Garrett Richards in the rotation, despite how well the 24-year-old has pitched.

Jered Weaver (lower back strain) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Sunday.
If all goes well, Weaver could return to the starting rotation sometime next week. "We want to make sure we don't miss any steps, and he's where he needs to be," manager Mike Scioscia said. "Obviously, the first workout he felt great. We'll see how he feels tomorrow. Then we can make a determination of exactly where he is."

Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports that it's "looking more" like Jered Weaver (back) will be activated when first eligible.
Weaver extended his long-tossing to 300 feet Wednesday and is expected to throw off a mound soon. While the Angels will have a better idea as to his status when he climbs atop the bump, things are certainly looking up for the team's ace. Weaver, who is eligible to return on June 13, boasts a 2.61 ERA and 0.93 WHIP in 69 innings this season.
