DeGrom (5-3) surrendered one run in a complete game victory Monday against the Cubs, allowing five hits and four walks with six strikeouts.
EDGE Analysis
DeGrom kept the ball down to great effect in this one as he induced a whopping 17 ground ball outs, with his only real mistake on the night coming in the form of a solo home run to Addison Russell in the seventh inning. The four walks were one of his higher totals of the season, but he still threw 69 percent of his pitches for strikes en route to his first complete game since last July. This dominating performance was especially welcome for DeGrom and his fantasy owners since he had allowed 15 earned runs over his previous eight innings, and he will look to carry this momentum into Sunday's matchup with the Nationals.

DeGrom (4-3) was rocked for eight runs on 10 hits in Tuesday's 10-8 loss to the Rangers. He struck out two and walked one.
EDGE Analysis
The outing pushed the righty's ERA to 4.75 and WHIP to 1.44 -- never-before-seen numbers from a guy whose career-worst ERA was last season's 3.04. DeGrom is having a bizarre season, as his velocity is up and his strikeout rate is easily a career high (although he didn't miss many bats this time around), but his walk rate's risen too and he's been rather prone to the long ball. If there's a silver lining for deGrom, it's his 3.18 xFIP, which suggests he's gotten unlucky in many regards. Still, considering that he's been ripped for 15 runs over eight innings in his last two starts, fantasy owners should approach deGrom with some degree of trepidation heading into Sunday's start in Atlanta.

DeGrom (4-2) got blown up to the tune of seven runs on eight hits and five walks over four innings in Wednesday's loss to the Brewers. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
This marks the third time in 2017 that deGrom has issued five or more walks in a start -- something he didn't do even once in either of the last two seasons. His massive spike in strikeouts (now 92 in 68 innings) certainly helps compensate for that decline in control, but the results have not been great for the 28-year-old righty, as he's now sitting on a 3.97 ERA and 1.37 WHIP -- both easily career worsts. However, he also holds career highs in BABIP (.338) and HR/FB (18.2 percent), suggesting that deGrom has been the victim of some bad luck.

DeGrom (4-1) allowed one run on six hits and one walk while striking out 10 over 8.1 innings to earn the win Friday against the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
DeGrom had plenty of run support as he coasted to an easy victory. After a string of three mediocre starts, he's been dominant over his last two outings while lowering his ERA to 3.23. He's also been overpowering hitters, as he's fanned 37 batters over his last 27.1 innings, and he's been well worth the price that fantasy owners paid for him on draft day. He'll make his next start Wednesday against the Brewers.

DeGrom will slide back to start Friday's game against the Pirates due to the threat of inclement weather Thursday night, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Mets are worried that if deGrom starts Thursday night, his start may be abbreviated if a rain delay pops up partway through the contest, so they'll simply slide him back a day to ensure that he'll get a full start. Rafael Montero will move in to start Thursday's bout against the Padres.

DeGrom (3-1) threw seven shutout innings in a win against the Angels but dealt with a blister in his final frame, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The blister was on deGrom's ring finger. It wasn't enough to force him out of the game, as he finished the seventh inning on his 106th pitch, and it didn't sully the brilliance of a start that included nine strikeouts and just four hits allowed. That said, we'll have to watch throughout the week to make sure the blister doesn't linger -- consider deGrom day-to-day for now.

DeGrom (2-1) gave up four runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out seven over six-plus innings but came away with a no-decision in Sunday's loss to the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
He looked sharp in the early innings, but after escaping a bases-loaded jam in the fifth deGrom served up a two-run shot to Keon Broxton in the sixth that opened the floodgates for a huge Milwaukee rally in their eventual 11-9 win. The 28-year-old righty has now allowed at least three runs in five straight starts, and while deGrom's 67:20 K:BB through 48.2 remains excellent his 4.07 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and career-high 1.3 HR/9 aren't what the Mets were hoping for from him. He'll next take the mound Saturday at home against the Angels.

DeGrom (2-1) allowed three runs on four hits and three walks while striking out 11 in six innings Monday but came away with a no-decision in a 4-3 win over the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
The 28-year-old righty has now struck out double-digit batters in four of his last five starts, giving him a career-high 12.7 K/9, but deGrom's 4.0 BB/9 and 1.3 HR/9 rates are far short of his usual standards and are fueling a 3.80 ERA and 1.34 WHIP. Given the state of the rest of the Mets rotation, the team really needs deGrom to step up and find his 2015-16 form again. He'll make his next start Sunday in Milwaukee.

DeGrom (2-1) gave up five runs on eight hits and five walks with five strikeouts over five innings in Wednesday's 16-5 win over the Braves.
EDGE Analysis
Yes, that's a lot of fives. It's unusual to see him show such poor control, but deGrom labored through this outing, throwing 109 pitches (68 strikes). Although this was easily his worst outing of the year, deGrom's offense picked him up in a big way. It's worth remembering that the stud righty had recorded double-digit whiffs in three straight coming in, and his 49:16 K:BB in 36.2 innings is rather spectacular. Look for a bounce-back effort against the Giants on Monday.

DeGrom (1-1) gave up three runs on six hits and a walk while striking out 12 over seven innings in Friday's 7-5 win over the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
It was deGrom's third straight game with double-digit strikeouts, giving him an NL-leading 44 through 31.2 innings, but Friday marked the first time the Mets had provided him with enough run support to get a win as well. The right-hander should be able to keep things rolling in his next start Wednesday in Atlanta.
