DeGrom (2-1) gave up four runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out seven over six-plus innings but came away with a no-decision in Sunday's loss to the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
He looked sharp in the early innings, but after escaping a bases-loaded jam in the fifth deGrom served up a two-run shot to Keon Broxton in the sixth that opened the floodgates for a huge Milwaukee rally in their eventual 11-9 win. The 28-year-old righty has now allowed at least three runs in five straight starts, and while deGrom's 67:20 K:BB through 48.2 remains excellent his 4.07 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and career-high 1.3 HR/9 aren't what the Mets were hoping for from him. He'll next take the mound Saturday at home against the Angels.
