deGrom (0-1) allowed three runs on eight hits and six walks while striking out 10 over 5.2 innings to take the loss Saturday against the Nationals after having his start pushed back due to a stiff neck.
EDGE Analysis
Although deGrom had a big strikeout day, he also struggled with bouts of wildness, and he found himself over the 100-pitch mark, and he was unable to complete six innings. This was the first time in four starts that he allowed more than two runs, and he has 32 strikeouts in 24.2 innings on the year, and he remains a fantasy ace when healthy. He'll make his next start Friday against the Nationals.

DeGrom (neck) has been confirmed as Saturday's starter.
EDGE Analysis
His status was still up in the air after originally having his start pushed back from Friday, though it seems he's good to go for a pivotal home start against the Nationals. The right-hander has posted great numbers thus far (1.89 ERA, 0.84 WHIP) and has not faced Washington since 2015.

DeGrom's status for Saturday is still up in the air due to a stiff neck, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Newly-recalled Sean Gilmartin could be in line for a spot start if deGrom is unable to go, though it appears that's more of a last resort at this point. A final decision should come down closer to game time tomorrow.

deGrom is dealing with a stiff neck and will have his next start pushed back to Saturday, Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Matt Harvey will switch spots in the rotation, matching up with Tanner Roark for Friday's series opener. It appears to be a simple precautionary move for the Mets at this point and still allows both aces to start in a pivotal three-game set, but it could be a situation worth keeping an eye on. deGrom is off to a great start on the season, with a 1.89 ERA and a 22:4 K:BB.

DeGrom gave up two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out 13 over seven innings but was left with a no-decision in Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander gave up back-to-back solo homers to Justin Bour and Marcell Ozuna in the second inning, but otherwise Miami hitters couldn't touch him as deGrom fired 64 of 97 pitches for strikes in a dominant performance. Despite a 1.89 ERA and 22:4 K:BB through three starts, though, the 28-year-old is still looking for his first decision of 2017. He'll next face the Nats at home Friday.

DeGrom gave up two runs on six hits and a pair of walks while striking out three Phillies in Monday's no-decision.
EDGE Analysis
The righty let the Phillies rally for a pair of first-inning runs, but he shut the door from there on out, and Jay Bruce's second homer of the game (with deGrom already out) ultimately put the Mets over the top. With two quality outings already in his back pocket, deGrom will next take aim at another NL East opponent, the Marlins, on Saturday.

DeGrom held the Braves scoreless over six innings Wednesday, striking out six while allowing just two hits and a walk, but he didn't receive a decision in an eventual 12-inning loss.
EDGE Analysis
It took deGrom until his age-26 season to break into the big leagues, but he's been nothing short of terrific since then. However, he's coming off the worst of his three MLB campaigns, as his 3.04 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 8.7 K/9 were all career worsts. Of course, if that's the worst of deGrom, his fantasy owners will be thrilled. He's an upper-crust starter, and it's quite possible that we haven't seen his best seasons yet.

DeGrom gave up four runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out four over 5.1 innings during Sunday's Grapefruit League game against the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
It was his worst outing of the spring so far, but deGrom still held his velocity and increased his pitch count nearly to regular season levels, so all in all it counts as a successful start. The 28-year-old righty now holds a 2.93 ERA and dominant 17:2 K:BB through 15.1 spring innings, and he seems to have put his September elbow surgery firmly behind him.

DeGrom said he would like to use his changeup more often after having success with it during his Thursday spring training outing, Matt Ehalt of The Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander pulled the string on just 11.11 percent of his pitches in 2016, according to Brooks Baseball, instead deploying his slider as his offspeed offering of choice. His recent use of the change, however, may alter his distribution. "I was really pleased with being able to locate all four pitches today," deGrom said. "My last one, I threw a couple change-ups in the dirt and I don't think I threw one for a strike in my first outing. Today, I was able to throw that change-up whenever I wanted wherever I wanted to." His Grapefruit League work has gone smoothly so far (six shutout frames, seven strikeouts and just two hits allowed), which justifiably has cemented his fantasy price as a borderline top-20 starting pitcher in mixed leagues.

DeGrom (elbow) touched 97 mph in his spring debut Saturday against the Astros, the Newark Star-Ledger reports.
EDGE Analysis
The appearance was deGrom's first since September 1, and his first since having surgery to repair the ulnar nerve in his pitching elbow. The procedure required deGrom to revisit the fundamentals of his mechanics during the winter. In addition to the injury, deGrom believes that his tendency to fly open in his delivery was behind his reduced velocity, which included a 1.5-mph drop in his fastball. In addition to the encouraging radar gun readings Saturday, deGrom struck out three in two scoreless frames.
