DeGrom (forearm) threw 10 pitches off the mound Saturday and said his arm "felt great," Kristie Ackert of the New York Daily News reports.
EDGE Analysis
This was a surprise, albeit brief session for deGrom, who apparently felt great after throwing Friday. The Mets are still taking a wait-and-see approach with deGrom's recovery, but he's progressing fast enough that a return this season seems possible.

DeGrom (forearm) played catch Friday, James Wagner of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander rejoined the club in Atlanta on Friday and got to work right away, throwing for the first time since early in the month. He has several important hurdles to clear -- namely standard bullpens and probably at least one live session -- but deGrom appears to still have a chance to return at the tail end of the regular season.

DeGrom (forearm) has rejoined the team in Atlanta and is expected to resume throwing "imminently," Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Although deGrom remains without a set date to resume his throwing program, it sounds like he will pick up a baseball in the coming days, if not later on Friday. He will presumably start with standard flat-ground catch, then gradually ramp up to bullpen sessions and ultimately live sessions. That won't leave him much of a window to contribute over the remainder of the regular season, but he seems to have a chance to return for a start or two during the Mets' wild card push.

Manager Terry Collins said Sunday that DeGrom's is likely to miss several start with the tightness in his forearm, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The original hope was that deGrom would only miss his next start but that now appears not to be the case. Rafael Montero is starting for deGrom on Tuesday and could remain in the rotation. That might change if Steven Matz (shoulder) is able to return, allowing Seth Lugo and Robert Gselllman to fill the two open rotation spots.

DeGrom will likely miss his next schedule start due to forearm soreness, James Wagner of The New York Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
An MRI revealed no structural damage after deGrom felt soreness in his right forearm Thursday night. It is unclear who will replace deGrom in the rotation if he does indeed miss his next start, but Gabriel Ynoa is a likely option.

DeGrom's elbow was examined Friday and while no structural damage was found, he does have inflammation and will likely not make his next scheduled start, Mike Puma of the NY Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
The good news is that nothing structurally wrong was found but the inflammation may have existed for a while, explaining his three poor starts in a row. No word yet on who will replace deGrom if he does miss the start, though it may be Gabriel Ynoa, who was promoted with the Sept. 1 roster expansion.

When asked about deGrom's status Friday, manager Terry Collins would not commit to him making his next scheduled start, Jared Diamond of The Wall Street Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
DeGrom struggled mightily over his last three starts, and was spotted calling for a trainer after exiting his last start Thursday, which has led to questions about his health. Collins did not provide any details in that regard, but he did provide any optimism either. More details regarding deGrom's status for his next start figures to be released in the coming days.

DeGrom struggled in Thursday's outing and was examined by the team's trainer, ESPN's Adam Rubin reports. However, deGrom claims that he's not injured. "Everything's fine. I was frustrated with how I pitched. I didn't feel great out there tonight. I just wanted to talk to Ray [Ramirez]. I'm Fine," said deGrom after Thursday's game.
EDGE Analysis
DeGrom labored through 5.0 innings (102 pitches) Thursday, walking four batters and giving up six hits en route to allowing three earned runs to notch his eighth loss of the season. Fortunately, despite meeting with the team trainer, deGrom contends that he's healthy and that he needs to make some mechanical adjustments. Provided that he is healthy, deGrom will be scheduled to start Tuesday in Cincinnati.

DeGrom will return to the Mets' rotation Friday against the Nationals, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Mets opted to skip what would have been deGrom's next start Monday in order to allow him to work on some mechanical issues. Rafael Montero will take the mound in his place against the Marlins on Monday night, with deGrom returning to the rotation Friday, as the Mets begin a three-game set against the Nationals in New York. Friday's originally scheduled starter, Noah Syndergaard, will be pushed back to Saturday.
