Angels activated OF Josh Hamilton from the 15-day disabled list.
Hamilton missed close to two months with a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his left thumb. He was off to a hot start in April before suffering the injury and should be thrown back into fantasy lineups immediately. Hamilton is batting cleanup in his return Tuesday.

Josh Hamilton went 2-for-4 and scored a run in a rehab start with Triple-A Salt Lake City.
Hamilton's rehab was delayed a bit after suffering a bone bruise last week. The outfielder is expected to play in two more rehab games with Salt Lake City over the weekend. If all goes well, Hamilton could rejoin the Angels on Tuesday for their road series with the Astros.

Josh Hamilton (thumb) is hoping to resume his rehab assignment at Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday.
He'll do so assuming he gets through batting practice Thursday with no issues. Hamilton was pulled off his rehab assignment due to a bone bruise in his left thumb, but he's about back to normal now. Angels manager Mike Scioscia is hoping to get the outfielder back before the end of the team's road trip, which concludes on June 5.

Josh Hamilton (thumb) took around 100 swings in the batting cage on Wednesday.
Hamilton said the session went well, and he'll take batting practice on the field on Thursday. He was nearing a return to the Angels before a bone bruise delayed that return, so assuming things continue to progress he should be back in Anaheim sooner than later. When that will be is still up in the air.

Josh Hamilton has been diagnosed with a bone bruise in his left thumb.
He'll take one more day of rest Tuesday before trying to take batting practice Wednesday. There was some initial worry about Hamilton after he injured his surgically-repaired thumb, but the bone bruise diagnosis confirms the Angels' inkling that it wasn't a major setback. Still, it obviously makes it unlikely that Hamilton will return later this week as originally hoped.

Josh Hamilton (thumb) joined the Angels in Seattle Monday to have his left thumb re-evaluated.
Hamilton has missed the last three games during his rehab assignment due to soreness in his surgically-repaired thumb. The Angels don't think it's a major setback, but they want to have the outfielder looked at just to be safe. "Hopefully we'll know more by the end of the day," manager Mike Scioscia said. "In the conversations that our medical department has had with him, he's feeling better. He just wasn't quite comfortable to get out there and play in a game."

Josh Hamilton (thumb) is not in the starting lineup at Triple-A Salt Lake for the third consecutive game on Sunday.
Initially it was believed that the injury sustained when jammed by a pitch during Thursday's game was a minor concern, but now there is fear that it could be a sizable setback in his recovery. At this point, it's unlikely that he returns to the Angels this week as previously planned.

Josh Hamilton was scratched from his minor league rehab game at High-A Salt Lake on Friday.
Hamilton was jammed by a pitch during Thursday's game and his thumb was sore during batting practice, so they gave him the night off to be safe. He's still on track to return to the Angels on Monday.

Josh Hamilton (thumb) took batting practice on Thursday.
Everything went well, and Angels manager Mike Scioscia said Hamilton could begin a rehab assignment in about a week. "He's kept himself as close as he can to staying in baseball shape with some of the drills he's done," Scioscia said. It sounds like Hamilton should be activated from the disabled list before the end of the month.
