Josh Hamilton has been diagnosed with a bone bruise in his left thumb. He'll take one more day of rest Tuesday before trying to take batting practice Wednesday. There was some initial worry about Hamilton after he injured his surgically-repaired thumb, but the bone bruise diagnosis confirms the Angels' inkling that it wasn't a major setback. Still, it obviously makes it unlikely that Hamilton will return later this week as originally hoped.
