Josh Hamilton (thumb) took around 100 swings in the batting cage on Wednesday. Hamilton said the session went well, and he'll take batting practice on the field on Thursday. He was nearing a return to the Angels before a bone bruise delayed that return, so assuming things continue to progress he should be back in Anaheim sooner than later. When that will be is still up in the air.
