Stanton wore the golden sombrero Saturday, striking out four times while going 0-for-4 with a walk in the 6-2 win over the Giants. Stanton had gaudy numbers against Madison Bumgarner, but didn't have it tonight as MadBum struck him out in three straight at-bats. Even with the poor performance, Stanton still leads the NL with 29 RBI on the season.

Stanton went 1-for-5 with a three-run homer Wednesday in a 7-5 loss to the Nationals. He also struck out twice, including with two men on in the ninth inning. The homer's well and good, and his 27 RBI currently have him in the MLB lead, but Stanton hasn't been piling up too many hits lately, as his average has fallen back to .257 after a brief surge had it as high as .284 a week ago. Stanton's walk rate has dipped notably below his average from the last two years, and his strikeout rate -- 30.3 percent -- is at its highest point since 2010. He's still one of the game's top power hitters, but there are some chinks in the armor here.

Stanton went 2-for-4 with a homer and three RBI in Wednesday's win over the Mets. After starting the season in a bit of a slump, Stanton's been on a mission to normalize his stats. He's hit all six of his homers in the last 13 games, pulling his average and OPS up to .284 and .969, respectively. Stanton's also hit safely in five consecutive games; he's 9-for-19 in that span.

Stanton had a slow first week of the season, but is hitting his stride as April comes to a close. Stanton cranked his third home run of the season while going 2-for-4 Tuesday in a loss to the Phillies. He pushed his average up to .260 with the multi-hit effort Tuesday should begin to pile on the power numbers as he find a groove at the plate.

Stanton was 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a losing cause against the Mets on Friday night. It was his second of the year, and his second in as many days. Stanton typically starts off slowly but it appears he may be starting to hit his stride. He's hitting just .243, but has now driven in 10 on the young season so the Marlins will gladly welcome his booming bat.

Stanton clubbed his first home run of the season Thursday in a loss the the Mets, finishing the night 2-for-3 with a walk, two runs and two RBI. Stanton appears to be warming after a sluggish first week of the season, driving home six runs with five hits over his last three games. It was only a matter of time before Giancarlo found his timing at the dish. Expect the power numbers to pile up in a hurry.

Stanton went 3-for-3 with a double, two walks, two runs scored and four RBI in the Marlins' 8-2 win over the Braves on Tuesday. Stanton had gone 0-for-12 in his previous three games and just 3-for-23 to begin the season, but it was only a matter of time before the $325 million man snapped out of it. He will look to keep it going in Wednesday's finale versus soft-tossing lefty Eric Stults. As you might guess, Stanton does have a homer off Stults in seven career at-bats against him.

Stanton went 0-for-1 with three walks in Tuesday's game against the Braves. He has one hit and three walks through two games, but and has yet to log an extra-base hit. The Braves jumped out to an early lead and seemed intent on making someone else on the Marlins supply the power to get the Fish back into the game, as they rarely threw Stanton a strike. The Marlins close out their series against Shelby Miller and the Braves Wednesday. Stanton has two homers and zero strikeouts in just six career plate appearances against Miller so it may be worth paying up for him in daily leagues.
