Stanton went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Wednesday's win over the Cubs. Stanton is batting an even .200 (22-for-110) over the past 30 days, dropping his average to a disappointing .231 with a .325 OBP this season. Of course, he also boasts a .533 slugging percentage with 17 home runs and 46 RBI through 53 games as he continues to deliver massive power totals. A lowly .264 BABIP (compared to .329 for his career) deserves some of the blame for his batting average struggles, so it's difficult to be concerned about the slugger moving forward. Expect that average to rise quickly as more of his balls in play fall in.

Stanton went 2-for-4 Saturday with a walk and two solo home runs, boosting his total to 15 on the season. He's now got nine home runs but just 20 hits overall in May, sending his slash line on the year spiraling down to .232/.326/.524. Stanton's a better hitter than that, but even when he isn't making much contact he's still a reliable source of power.

Stanton was 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in a losing cause against Pittsburgh on Monday night. He had a run scoring single in the first inning, and a solo home run in the third to account for all of Miami's offense. He now has 13 home runs and 42 RBI on the season, but the rest of the Marlins' offense is in a deep sleep so he'll need to take advantage of the opportunities that come along, and if the slumber continues, he'll start seeing fewer and fewer pitches to hit.

Stanton went 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday's loss to Arizona. Stanton drove in the Marlins only runs of the game on Tuesday with a two-run blast in the sixth inning off of D-Backs starter Jeremy Hellickson. It was Stanton's 12th home run of the season to go along with 38 RBI and a .243 average. Stanton continues to be one of the best power threats in all of baseball.

Stanton went 1-for-5 Saturday with a solo home run, his 11th blast of the season. Blast, in this case, means a 478-foot shot that landed beyond the Marlins Park sculpture in left-center. Stanton now has four HR in four games as he tries to keep pace with the even-hotter Bryce Harper in the NL home run chase.

Stanton was 2-for-4 with a pair of solo home runs in a losing cause against Atlanta on Friday night. He's hitting just .258, but one of the most prolific power hitters in the game now has 10 home runs and 35 RBI. Obviously, with his stroke, a fireworks show is virtually right around the corner. If he's about to go off, enjoy the show.

Stanton is back in the lineup for Monday's game against the Dodgers, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports. Stanton took a seat Sunday after notching a golden sombrero Saturday, but he's back in his usual right field spot Monday and will bat third against Dodgers' starter Zack Greinke.

Stanton is out of the lineup Sunday against the Giants, MLB.com's Joe Frisaro reports. Stanton will get a day to clear his head after striking out four times Saturday night. Ichiro Suzuki will take over for him in right field and bat third in the order.

Stanton wore the golden sombrero Saturday, striking out four times while going 0-for-4 with a walk in the 6-2 win over the Giants. Stanton had gaudy numbers against Madison Bumgarner, but didn't have it tonight as MadBum struck him out in three straight at-bats. Even with the poor performance, Stanton still leads the NL with 29 RBI on the season.

Stanton went 1-for-5 with a three-run homer Wednesday in a 7-5 loss to the Nationals. He also struck out twice, including with two men on in the ninth inning. The homer's well and good, and his 27 RBI currently have him in the MLB lead, but Stanton hasn't been piling up too many hits lately, as his average has fallen back to .257 after a brief surge had it as high as .284 a week ago. Stanton's walk rate has dipped notably below his average from the last two years, and his strikeout rate -- 30.3 percent -- is at its highest point since 2010. He's still one of the game's top power hitters, but there are some chinks in the armor here.
