Stanton will undergo an X-ray on his left hand, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
He seemed to be favoring the hand after a ninth-inning strikeout, his third strikeout of the game (all swinging). Consider Stanton day-to-day and questionable to start Saturday until the results of the X-ray are released.

Stanton was at it again Tuesday, socking a two-run home run, his 26th of the season, in a loss to the Cardinals.
Stanton's first inning bomb put the Marlins on their way to an early lead, but Carlos Martinez settled in soon after and the Miami offense was shut down over the remainder of the game. After a 1-for-3 night in which Stanton also drew a walk, his season line sits at .261/.343/.604 with 46 runs and a major league leading 66 RBI to go along with those 26 homers -- also tops in the majors.

Stanton went 2-for-4 with his 25th homer of the season Thursday against the Yankees.
He's played in 67 games, and yet Stanton already has a whole season's worth of homers for most players. He's on pace to clear 50, easily, and is averaging very nearly an RBI a game. Strikeouts are the main weakness for Stanton, but he's even been cutting those lately, having whiffed just twice while walking three times in the last seven games.

Stanton also didn't strike out in any of his four at-bats and lowered his strikeout rate to 29.8 percent. He has gone five straight games without a strikeout, his first such streak all season.

Stanton powered the Marlins' offense in Saturday's win over the Rockies, smacking his 23rd homer of the season and adding four RBI.
Stanton reached base in three of his four plate appearances, boosting both his batting average and on-base percentage for the fourth consecutive game. His average is now sitting at a much more palatable .260, and after combining that with his league-leading homer total and 59 RBI, Stanton can safely be considered among the most valuable fantasy outfielders.

Stanton hit his 19th home run, scored two runs and picked up two RBI in a losing effort Tuesday against Toronto.
Stanton's home run ties him with Bryce Harper for the major league lead, and his 49 RBIs puts him alone atop that leaderboard. Alas, Stanton's .240 batting average (fueled by a brutal 32.5 percent strikeout rate) rules out any chance at a Triple Crown run.

That's three home runs in his past three games. Stanton's average has been a bit disappointing this season, but the power numbers have certainly been there. He's slashing .235/.326/.544 over 54 games with 18 homers, and 47 RBI.
