Stanton (wrist) is scheduled to begin a rehab stint at High-A Jupiter on Tuesday, with the aim of rejoining the Marlins for Friday's game against the Mets, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
There is some concern that High-A Jupiter's game on Tuesday will be rained out, though a postponement wouldn't necessarily affect Stanton's timeline. The Marlins obviously don't have a ton of incentive to rush their superstar back, but it's worth noting that his injury, a broken hamate bone, is a tough one for batters to bounce back from. It thus won't be surprising if he takes some time to get going once he returns.
