Neuvirth (knee) will slot back into the lineup as the Flyers' backup goaltender Thursday against the Maple Leafs, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
This news comes as a bit of a surprise, as Neuvirth was fully expected to miss the remainder of the regular season with a left knee mensicus tear he sustained in March. The Flyers will be happy to have the 28-year-old netminder healthy and back in the lineup, as they'll now have two solid goaltenders to rely on down the stretch and into the postseason (assuming they're able to clinch a playoff spot). Neuvirth has compiled a 17-8-4 record with a 2.28 GAA and .925 save percentage in 31 appearances this season, and could be back between the pipes as soon as Saturday against the Penguins.

Neuvirth (knee) will miss the remainder of the regular season due to a meniscus tear in his left knee, CSN's Tim Panaccio reports.
EDGE Analysis
Neuvirth could possibly return for the postseason in the event that the Flyers are able to qualify for the playoffs. It is unfortunate timing for Neuvirth and Philadalphia as the 27-year-old Czech netminder had been playing pretty well recently, earning wins in four of his last five starts. Steve Mason will continue to start and Anthony Stolarz will be the backup goaltender for the Flyers for the remainder of the regular season.

The issue that will likely keep Neuvirth out for the rest of the regular season is a left knee injury, CSN Philly reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Neuvirth -- who is slated to have an MRI on Monday -- slated to be out for three weeks, Steve Mason should be busy down the stretch run, with Anthony Stolarz now on hand to serve in a backup capacity for the Flyers.

Neuvirth is slated to miss three weeks with a lower-body injury.
EDGE Analysis
Neuvirth had been in line to start Saturday's game against Pittsburgh, but was scratched. Now he's set to miss additional time down the NHL stretch run, which sets the stage for Steve Mason to see added action in the meantime. Given the timing of the injury, it appears as though we won't see Neuvirth before the postseason, that is, in the event that the Flyers are able to qualify for the playoffs.

Neuvirth was slated to start Saturday's game, but "didn't feel well" just before the puck drop and was unable to go, reports the Associated Press.
EDGE Analysis
Steven Mason found out he was going to start about 20 minutes before warmups. The team announced that Neuvirth would be re-evaluated Saturday night and an update would be offered up Sunday. There's lots of flu going around; hopefully that's all this is.

Neuvirth turned aside 24 of 26 shots in a 3-2 road win over Chicago on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
After sitting out the last five games in favor of Steve Mason, Neuvirth got back in the win column with a solid performance against the Blackhawks. He hasn't really fit the description of a starter or a backup this season, as he's made extended runs of starts at times, while riding his share of pine behind Mason, as well. Nonetheless, in 31 appearances, Neuvirth's body of work has been excellent, as he now sports a 2.28 GAA to go with a .925 save percentage -- both of which are markedly better than his career averages of 2.66 and .914.

Neuvirth will be in the blue paint for Wednesday's tilt with Chicago, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Neuvirth hasn't started since March 3, and in the his two most recent starts he didn't play up to his normal standards, allowing three and four goals, respectively. Wednesday will be a tough matchup for Neuvirth as well, with Chicago having posted a 24-9-2 record at home this season. That being said, the Flyers have been playing great hockey of late, picking up eight wins in their last 11 contests to put them within one point of a playoff position.

Neuvirth (illness) will back up Steve Mason in net Tuesday against Detroit.
EDGE Analysis
Neuvirth has seemingly recovered from the stomach virus that prevented him from dressing in Philadelphia's last game against Florida. The 27-year-old Czech netminder will return to his role backing up Steve Mason as the regular season winds down.

Neuvirth is bothered by a stomach virus which will prevent him from dressing Saturday evening against the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
Neuvirth and Steve Mason have bounced in and out of the lineup with different maladies for most of the season, yet Anthony Stolarz, who was called up Saturday to serve as the backup, still hasn't made his NHL debut. Neuvirth should be considered day-to-day, at least until the team has a chance to give him a closer look.

Neuvirth was beaten four times on 31 shots Thursday in a 4-0 home loss to the Oilers.
EDGE Analysis
This was one of those games that makes the home fans wonder why they paid the price of attendance. Okay, that's kind of dramatic, especially considering Neuirth had won three straight at home coming in. It's no longer fair to call him the backup; he's started seven of the last eight games for the Flyers, and Steve Mason is perfectly healthy. Despite this loss, Neuvirth's fantasy value is on the rise.
