Doctson had zero targets on 20 offensive snaps in Sunday's 30-17 loss to the Eagles, Master Tesfatsion of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ryan Grant served as the No. 3 receiver, catching four of six targets for 61 yards on 37 offensive snaps. Doctson could still push for the role at some point this season, but it's hard to spin the Week 1 usage as anything but a disappointment for the 2016 first-round pick.

Doctson (hamstring) was a full participant at Wednesday's practice.
EDGE Analysis
Doctson was bothered by his hamstring on and off throughout August, making just one appearance during the preseason. There was some talk that Ryan Grant could push the 2016 first-round pick for regular work in three-wide formations, but Doctson is listed alongside Terrelle Pryor and Jamison Crowder as a starter on the Week 1 depth chart. Redskins coach Jay Gruden said Wednesday that Doctson's natural talent for route running should help him get up to speed with Kirk Cousins even though the two haven't gotten much of a chance to work together, ESPN.com's John Keim reports. Doctson is still a speculative fantasy commodity, as he's no better than fourth in line for targets as part of an offense that also features tight ends Jordan Reed and Vernon Davis and pass-catching back Chris Thompson.

Doctson (hamstring) is participating in individual drills at Sunday's practice, Rich Tandler of CSN Washington reports.
EDGE Analysis
Doctson initially injured his hamstring Aug. 1 and was limited to just one appearance during the preseason. While Redskins coach Jay Gruden said Wednesday that he expects the second-year wideout to be ready for Week 1 against the Eagles, it isn't clear how much of a role Doctson will have to start the season. He'll also probably need to log at least one full practice before being cleared for the game.

Doctson (hamstring) isn't expected to play in Thursday's preseason game against the Buccaneers, Mike Jones of the Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Redskins are also expected to sit fellow receivers Terrelle Pryor, Jamison Crowder and Ryan Grant. Along with Doctson, this group appears safely locked into the final roster ahead of Week 1.

According to head coach Jay Gruden, Doctson (hamstring) should be ready for Week 1's matchup with the Eagles, John Keim of ESPN.com reports. "It wasn't like he pulled it; it was tight, I guess. It hasn't been a major pull, so I think he's going to be OK," Gruden said. "I think he's going to be ready for Philadelphia and now it's a matter of keeping him out there, and knock on wood, I hope we can do that."
EDGE Analysis
Doctson has missed over a week of camp and last Sunday's preseason win over the Bengals because of lingering hamstring issues. The team will not risk the second-year wideout's health by having him play in Thursday's preseason finale but will instead turn their attention to his availability for Week 1. If he can make a healthy return, Doctson could carve out a major offensive role in Washington's revamped receiving corps.

According to head coach Jay Gruden, Doctson was held out of the Redskins' preseason matchup with the Bengals due to leg soreness.
EDGE Analysis
It appears as if the Redskins are taking the safe approach when it comes to their 2016 first-round pick, given the wideout has only played in 18 snaps this preseason. It seems unlikely that he will take any reps in Thursday's preseason finale, but nothing has yet to be confirmed. Despite the lack of play time, Doctson is still listed as the No. 3 receiver on Washington's depth chart, a role he has been battling to protect all preseason.

Doctson caught one of two targets for 12 yards during Saturday's preseason game against the Packers
EDGE Analysis
Doctson, finally over the pulled hamstring that hampered him during the onset of the preseason, looked spry on his lone reception as the TCU product needed to keep his defender occupied with fancy footwork before exploding back inside on a slant route. While his overall stat line is nothing to gawk at, Doctson only played on 18 snaps and should see a few more opportunities to flash his talent in the third preseason game next Sunday against the Bengals.

Doctson (hamstring) is on track to play Saturday versus the Packers, but a pregame test will determine his availability, Mike Jones of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
After taking part in individual drills Wednesday, Doctson was expected to increase his activity level at Thursday's practice, which may have left a positive impression on head coach Jay Gruden. Having said that, Doctson's ability to play Saturday will be contingent on how his hamstring holds up in a workout. If he's cleared, the receiving corps will be drawing ever closer to full health due to the expected return of Jamison Crowder (hamstring).

Redskins coach Jay Gruden said Doctson (hamstring) will ramp up his activity Thursday as the team prepares for Saturday's preseason game against Green Bay, Mike Jones of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
After missing more than a week of practice as well as the preseason opener, Doctson returned to individual drills in full pads Wednesday. The Redskins haven't yet decided on his availability for Saturday's exhibition, potentially leaving it up to a game-day decision. The 2016 first-round pick still figures to have a regular spot in three-wide sets once he's healthy, though his absence has allowed Ryan Grant to take on added first-team work at practice.

Doctson (hamstring) took part in individual drills Wednesday, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
On Sunday, head coach Jay Gruden believed that Doctson would be sidelined 4-5 more days due to his hamstring injury, but the wideout returned a bit earlier than expected, albeit in a limited fashion. Doctson was actually donning full pads Wednesday, which is an encouraging sign for his recovery. It remains to be seen, though, if he'll be allowed to log his first snaps of the preseason Saturday against the Packers.
