Doctson (hamstring) will be held out another 4-5 days, Master Tesfatsion of the Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Doctson pulled his hamstring in practice last weekend and wasn't able to play in the preseason opener Thursday against the Ravens. Even if he returns beforehand, he'll likely be held out of the Redskins' second preseason tilt Saturday against the Packers.

Doctson (hamstring) will not play in the Redskins' preseason opener Thursday against the Ravens.
EDGE Analysis
Doctson underwent an MRI on Monday that revealed a "slight pull" of his hamstring, so his removal from Thursday's game comes as no surprise. With Jamison Crowder (hamstring) out as well, Terrelle Pryor and Brian Quick will likely serve as Kirk Cousins' top two options at wide receiver.

According to coach Jay Gruden, Doctson underwent an MRI that revealed a "slight pull" of his hamstring, but he's still considered day-to-day going forward.
EDGE Analysis
Doctson missed Monday's practice due to the ailment, and although he wasn't spotted walking with a limp, Gruden's admission is hardly what Doctson's fantasy owners will want to hear. Last year's first-rounder played just two games as a rookie due to an Achilles problem, so another lower body injury is not something he'll want to rush his way back from. Although Doctson being day-to-day is cause for relief, the Redskins don't figure to make him available for Thursday's preseason opener.

Doctson is considered day-to-day after injuring his hamstring during Sunday's practice, ESPN's John Keim reports.
EDGE Analysis
Doctson sat out Monday's walkthrough, but the wideout reportedly wasn't moving with a noticeable limp on the sidelines. That comes as good news for Doctson, particularly after his rookie season was derailed by an Achilles injury. Someone the Redskins can ill-afford to lose to another lingering ailment, Doctson is projected to start alongside Terrelle Pryor and Jamison Crowder in three-wide sets this season.

Doctson was participating in team drills by the conclusion of OTAs, ESPN's John Keim reports.
EDGE Analysis
Although head coach Jay Gruden made certain that Doctson had not suffered any sort of setback in his return from a torn Achilles, the receiver was nonetheless barred from taking part in 11-on-11 work during the onset of OTAs for precautionary reasons. However, it appears the Redskins have since taken the training wheels off their 2016 first-round pick, so expect Doctson to open this week's minicamp without any physical restrictions.

Doctson was held out of the team portion of Wednesday's OTA as a precaution, Mike Jones of the Washington Post reports. Coach Jay Gruden reiterated that Doctson is not dealing with a setback of any kind.
EDGE Analysis
The Redskins are being cautious with Doctson in his first full season after sitting out his rookie year due to an Achilles injury. Doctson reportedly put together a strong practice Tuesday and looked sharp during individual drills Wednesday, so Gruden opted to rest him during the team period. Look for Doctson to return to fully practicing later in the week.

Doctson (Achilles) has looked "quick and healthy" in offseason workouts, CSN Mid-Atlantic's JP Finlay reports.
EDGE Analysis
Doctson -- the Redskins' 2016 first-rounder -- appeared in just two games last year before landing on injured reserve with a season-ending Achilles tear. Fortunately, his rehabilitation seems to have gone about as well as it could have, considering the receiver was back running and catching by February and later tweeted he felt he was 100 percent as soon as late March. In the two months since, there's been nothing to suggest the TCU product has experienced any sort of setback and his participation in voluntary OTAs this offseason suggests the team has since cleared him to return to the field.

Doctson (Achilles) hopes to be up to full speed by training camp, Stephen Czarda of the team's official site reports. Head coach Jay Gruden said, "We took it slow and I think he's in a good place mentally and that's half the battle. We'll continue to gradually build him through OTAs and the mandatory camp so hopefully we'll get him to full speed in training camp and go from there."
EDGE Analysis
Doctson hinted at his recovery last week when he tweeted he was feeling 100%, which is great news considering the first-round pick only played in two games last season. He'll compete with Brian Quick, Maurice Harris and others for the No. 3 spot on the depth chart this season. Look for more updates on his recovery once training camp rolls around.

Doctson (Achilles) suggested he is 100 percent healthy for the first time since last offseason, CSN Mid-Atlantic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Selected 22nd overall in last year's draft, Doctson struggled with an Achilles injury throughout the team's offseason program and into the regular season, ultimately logging only 31 snaps in two games. The Redskins recently signed Terrelle Pryor to a one-year, $8 million contract, but with Pierre Garcon and DeSean Jackson both departing in free agency, Doctson should have every opportunity to earn a regular spot alongside Pryor and Jamison Crowder in the three-wide sets that essentially serve as Washington's base offense. Doctson should be a full participant when the Redskins' offseason program kicks off in mid-to-late April.
