Doctson (Achilles) is expected to be 100 percent healthy by the end of March, Brian McNally of 106.7 FM The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
Doctson was limited to just two games as a rookie while recovering from an Achilles injury sustained during the past offseason, and landed back on IR in October upon suffering a setback. The wideout has made strong progress in his recovery since the season ended, as he took part in running and catching drills last week and is expected to increase his activities in the weeks to come. If Doctson proves to be healthy when training camp opens in the summer, he could challenge for a starting role if the Redskins fail to restock their receiving corps when Pierre Garcon and DeSean Jackson become free agents in March.

Doctson (Achilles) has been running drills and catching footballs, JP Finlay of CSNMidAtlantic.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Doctson continues his quest to a full recovery after injuring his Achilles in OTA's last offseason. Once fully healthy, he could become a major factor in Washington's offense with fellow wideouts Pierre Garcon and DeSean Jackson slated to become free agents in a couple weeks. Look for more updates on his road to recovery to come throughout the offseason.

Head coach Jay Gruden said this week that Doctson (Achilles) has yet to be cleared to run without limitations, Mike Jones of The Washington Post reports. "Not really," Gruden stated when asked about Doctson's progress. "I saw him running in the pool the other day, which is exciting. We're going to take it slow with him. I think month of February, I think is very important for his progress and then we'll see where he's at."
EDGE Analysis
Shortly after his selection in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft, Doctson injured his left Achilles in OTAs, which lingered into training camp, the preseason, and the regular season itself. Granted, he attempted to tough out the ailment in Weeks 1 and 2, accounting for a 57-yard grab among his two catches. Eventually landing on IR, he was given leash as the Redskins' potential designee from the list, but his Achilles never stabilized enough to allow for such a scenario. Considering Gruden's comments, Doctson will be a regular in the trainer's room this offseason as he attempts to uphold lofty expectations.

Doctson (Achilles) is confident he'll be able to make a healthy return next season, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Doctson played in the first two games of the season but then spent the next four weeks as an inactive before ultimately winding up on injured reserve for the remainder of the season. Washington could lose both DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon in the offseason, which means the 2016 first-round pick could be slated for a much larger offensive role in 2017. He will begin to increase activity later in the month. Doctson said of the injury, "I'm in a good state of mind. I definitely feel a difference. I was playing injured. It's something I chose to do. With rest, it's been significant for my recovery." Look for more updates on the wideout to come throughout the offseason.

The Redskins tabbed Kory Lichtensteiger (calf) as their designee to return from injured reserve, meaning Doctson (Achilles) won't play again this season, Brian McNally of 106.7 The Fan DC reports.
EDGE Analysis
Plagued by a sore left Achilles throughout the offseason program and preseason slate, Doctson toughed it out the first two games of the season. Among his two catches on six targets, he showed off his first-round pedigree with a 57-yard reception. Unfortunately, Week 2 marked his last appearance, he was placed on injured reserve in Week 7, and teams can only designate one player for potential activation from IR. He'll thus focus his efforts on an injury-free offseason in anticipation of a sustained role within the Redskins' offense in 2017.

According to Redskins coach Jay Gruden, Doctson (Achilles) has been walking around without a boot, Master Tesfatsion of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Doctson was placed on injured reserve prior to Week 7 due to continued soreness in his Achilles. Although that's disappointingly ruled him out for a large chunk of his rookie season, it's encouraging to know he's now out of a walking boot. Furthermore, coach Gruden says he considers Doctson a candidate to return later in the season. While he isn't eligible to play again until the last couple weeks of the campaign, thus ruling out any meaningful fantasy consideration this year, Doctson could eventually bolster a Redskins receiving corps that is dealing with an injury to top option DeSean Jackson (shoulder) at the moment.

Doctson (Achilles) was placed on injured reserve Friday, Mike Jones of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
This transaction has been rumored for the last few weeks, as Doctson continues to be plagued by soreness in both of his Achilles tendons even though testing hasn't revealed any structural damage. The hope is that he can make a full recovery with a few months of rest, but it's unclear if he's viewed as a candidate to return from injured reserve. The team may just want to wait until next season, considering it already has a solid wideout trio comprised of DeSean Jackson (shoulder), Pierre Garcon and Jamison Crowder. Of course, there's always a chance injuries could thing the group out, which might lead to an earlier re-evaluation of Doctson's progress. Regardless, the 2106 first-round selection has virtually no chance to help fantasy teams this season. 2017 could be a different story, as Jackson and Garcon are both slated to hit free agency.

EDGE Analysis
During the same news conference in which Jay Gruden stated Doctson could land on injured reserve Monday, the head coach noted it's "safe to say" the rookie wideout will sit out through the Redskins' Week 9 bye, according to The Washington Post. If the prediction comes to pass, Doctson will have to wait until Nov. 13 against the Vikings for his first potential game action since Week 2. In the meantime, rest and rehabilitation will dominate his weekly regimen.

Head coach Jay Gruden told The Washington Times last week that the Redskins may have to make a decision soon whether or not to devote a spot on the active roster to Doctson (Achilles).
EDGE Analysis
Doctson's first offseason as a professional was dominated by an Achilles injury, wiping out most of the offseason program, training camp, and preseason slate. He was able to muster some snaps in the first two games of the campaign but has since been shut down by the team. With four DNPs behind him and no end in sight, Gruden's comments carry weight and may result in Doctson's placement on injured reserve in the near future, especially if injuries elsewhere force a roster crunch.

EDGE Analysis
The rookie was officially ruled out on Friday with the Achilles injury that has hounded him for what will now be four straight weeks. As has been the case in his absence, DeSean Jackson, Pierre Garcon and Jamison Crowder figure to command the majority of Kirk Cousins' attention with respect to wide receiver targets.
