According to head coach Jay Gruden, Doctson (hamstring) should be ready for Week 1's matchup with the Eagles, John Keim of ESPN.com reports. "It wasn't like he pulled it; it was tight, I guess. It hasn't been a major pull, so I think he's going to be OK," Gruden said. "I think he's going to be ready for Philadelphia and now it's a matter of keeping him out there, and knock on wood, I hope we can do that."
EDGE Analysis
Doctson has missed over a week of camp and last Sunday's preseason win over the Bengals because of lingering hamstring issues. The team will not risk the second-year wideout's health by having him play in Thursday's preseason finale but will instead turn their attention to his availability for Week 1. If he can make a healthy return, Doctson could carve out a major offensive role in Washington's revamped receiving corps.
