Trumbo (back) is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Giants, Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times reports.
Trumbo will be held out for a third straight game, but he did take batting practice Monday. The Mariners have to leave one of their usual starters on the bench in a National League ballpark, so it makes sense to take a cautious approach with Trumbo's back spasms. He may be available as a pinch hitter.

Trumbo (back), who is out of the lineup Monday against the Giants, was able to take batting practice, Bob Dutton of the Tacoma News Tribune reports.
Trumbo will be on the bench for a second straight game while he contends with back spasms, but he did indicate he was feeling better Monday, suggesting a long-term absence isn't in the offing. It's not known if he'll be available as a pinch-hitting option for Monday's game.

Trumbo (back) is out of the lineup Monday against the Giants, Shannon Drayer of ESPN 710 AM in Seattle reports.
Trumbo was a late scratch from Sunday's lineup due to back spasms, and he may still be bothered by the issue Monday, though the team is yet to provide an update. With no DH in San Francisco, Trumbo will have to play the field if he's going to return during the team's current series.

Trumbo was scratched from Sunday's lineup against the Astros due to back spasms, MLB.com's Greg Johns reports.
He was initially listed as the starter in left field, but was later replaced on the lineup card by Dustin Ackley after apparently aggravating his back at some point Sunday morning. Trumbo, who is off to a 6-for-37 start with the Mariners since being acquired June 3, should be viewed as day-to-day in advance of Monday's series opener against the Giants.

Trumbo is now slated to man first base in his Mariners debut with Logan Morrison scratched.
Trumbo was expected to DH in his first game with Seattle, but Morrison's late scratch forced manager Lloyd McClendon to shuffle some things around. Nelson Cruz will now serve as the designated hitter with Seth Smith in right field and Dustin Ackley in left against right-hander Erasmo Ramirez.

Trumbo, making his Mariners debut, will start at DH and bat fifth Thursday against the Rays, Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times reports.
Trumbo will get at-bats as a DH and outfielder, but the Mariners will probably also consider him as an option at first base, especially against left-handed pitchers. He figures to be a regular presence in the lineup, as was the case in Arizona.

Trumbo has been traded to the Mariners, Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports reports.
Trumbo had been held out of the Diamondbacks' lineup on back-to-back days, and now the reason why is clear. The powerful right-hander batted just .237 in May, but tallied seven long balls on the month, and is a strong threat to go deep in the middle of any lineup. He'll likely see playing time at the corner outfield positions with the Mariners, stealing reps from the likes of Seth Smith and Dustin Ackley. First base may not be out of the question as well with Logan Morrison batting .245 on the year.

Trumbo is not in the lineup Wednesday.
Ender Inciarte will get the start in right field as Trumbo gets a rare day off. His batting average has dipped in recent weeks, but he is still hitting for plenty of power, amassing three home runs over his last eight games.

Trumbo is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Braves.
Manager Chip Hale continues to mix and match his outfield, and Trumbo will be the odd man out Tuesday. Ender Inciarte will move to right field while David Peralta steps in to man left against right-hander Shelby Miller.

Trumbo went 2-for-8 with his ninth home run of the year and two runs Sunday in a 17-inning marathon against Milwaukee.
Trumbo has been able to sustain a better than expected batting average this year while hitting for the power his owners expected. While he is putting more balls in play by striking out significantly less than he has throughout his career, his .300 BABIP doesn't appear to be an outlier so the improvements could hold up. If Trumbo hits in the .260-.270 range with 30-plus home runs, it would be a big value for his owners.
