Trumbo went 2-for-8 with his ninth home run of the year and two runs Sunday in a 17-inning marathon against Milwaukee.
Trumbo has been able to sustain a better than expected batting average this year while hitting for the power his owners expected. While he is putting more balls in play by striking out significantly less than he has throughout his career, his .300 BABIP doesn't appear to be an outlier so the improvements could hold up. If Trumbo hits in the .260-.270 range with 30-plus home runs, it would be a big value for his owners.
