Trumbo (back), who is out of the lineup Monday against the Giants, was able to take batting practice, Bob Dutton of the Tacoma News Tribune reports. Trumbo will be on the bench for a second straight game while he contends with back spasms, but he did indicate he was feeling better Monday, suggesting a long-term absence isn't in the offing. It's not known if he'll be available as a pinch-hitting option for Monday's game.
