Trumbo is out of the lineup Friday against the Brewers. Trumbo appears to simply be taking a day off Friday, as the club shifted Ender Inciarte over to right field while David Peralta enters the lineup in left. Assuming it's nothing more than a maintenance day, he should rejoin the lineup Saturday.

Trumbo went 1-for-2, hitting his eighth home run and drawing two walks, Wednesday against the Cardinals. Trumbo had two home runs in the series against St. Louis, which are his only home runs in the past two weeks as he has slumped at the plate. He has produced just a .200/.294/.378 line in that span and has seen his batting line for the season drop to .265/.311/.517. That's actually an improvement over his career averages and his home run production is what it normally is, so he is likely to be fine over the rest of the season despite the recent slump.

Trumbo went 1-for-5 and supplied a game-tying two-run homer in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Cardinals. After he and his mates were shut down by Carlos Martinez over the first seven innings, Trumbo broke through against lefty reliever Kevin Siegrist, sending a line drive over the fence for the Diamondbacks' only runs of the game. Trumbo has absolutely crushed southpaws this season, as he's now recorded 11 hits in 32 at-bats (.343 average), including a double, triple, four homers, and eight RBI.

Trumbo is out of the lineup Sunday against the Cubs. Trumbo is batting just .212 with 17 strikeouts in 66 at-bats in May, and will get a regular day off in favor of Ender Inciarte in right field. Manager Chip Hall will elect to play matchups with right-hander Jason Hammel scheduled to take the mound for the opposing Cubs.

Trumbo is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Marlins. Trumbo is riding a four-game hitting streak, but he is just 4-for-19 (.211) since May 13, so manager Chip Hale decided to give him the day off Wednesday. The Diamondbacks will roll with an outfield of David Peralta, A.J. Pollock, and Ender Inciarte from left to right on Wednesday.

Trumbo is out of the lineup Friday. David Peralta and Ender Inciarte will man the outfield corners Friday as Trumbo gets the night off. It's been an excellent start to the season for the slugging right fielder, as he is slugging .560 while hitting for a more than acceptable .284 average.

Trumbo went 2-for-5 and bashed two home runs Tuesday in a win over Washington. He drove in four runs in the contest. Half of Trumbo's season total of six home runs have come in his last five games, as he has found his power stroke lately. His season line of .292/.318/.575 is better than his career averages across the board and given that he has reduced his strikeouts while increasing contact, it is a change that could hold up throughout the season.
