Trumbo endeared himself to the Oriole faithful Monday, going 4-for-5 with a stolen base against the Twins
EDGE Analysis
Trumbo, Baltimore's clean up hitter, was brought in to provide some big power behind Chris Davis, but ended up with four singles Monday. The power should come for Trumbo however, as he launched 22 homers a year ago and has two 30-home run seasons to his credit. The stolen base was a rarity for Trumbo, who went without a steal for all of 2015.

Trumbo seems to be in store for a move to right field this season after the Orioles signed Pedro Alvarez on Monday, Bob Nightengale of USA Today Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Chris Davis holding it down at first base, Alvarez is destined to be Baltimore's daily designated hitter which forces Trumbo into the outfield. Fortunately Trumbo played 88 games in the outfield between Arizona and Seattle last season, but was unreliable and seems best suited in a DH role. Nevertheless, the 30-year-old will now likely slot ahead of Nolan Reimold at right on Opening Day.

Trumbo is struggling defensively in right field this spring, MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Trumbo has played two balls very poorly this spring and his career peripherals in the outfield are not stellar. It seems like the best option is to peg him in the DH spot at this point and keep him on the ready to back up Chris Davis if an injury forces him into action at first base. Trumbo qualifies in the outfield from last year, but he may be a pure DH next year.

Trumbo will take fly balls in right field as spring workouts begin, MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Trumbo actually logged most of his time with the Mariners and Diamondbacks in the outfield last season, though he seems to be a more natural fit at first base. Chris Davis should be the every day starter at first. Trumbo figures to log more time at DH than in the outfield, assuming the Orioles finalize a deal with another outfielder, a move that seems coming down the pike.

Trumbo and the Orioles agreed to a one-year, $9.15 million contract Thursday, avoiding arbitration, ESPN's Jerry Crasnick reports.
EDGE Analysis
Traded from Seattle to Baltimore on Dec. 1, Trumbo is expected to serve as the Orioles' starting first baseman. He'll go from an extreme pitcher's park to a batter's park, but he did spend about one-third of last season with the Diamondbacks, who play in a stadium (Chase Field) that's arguably more hitter-friendly than Camden Yards.

Trumbo was traded to the Orioles from the Mariners on Tuesday in exchange for Steve Clevenger, CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reports.
EDGE Analysis
A lot can happen before Opening Day, but right now Trumbo's fantasy stock appears to be trending way up. He goes from a terrible hitting environment to a hitter's paradise in Baltimore, and his playing time now looks a lot more stable. Trumbo hit 22 home runs with a .262/.310/.449 slash line in 545 plate appearances with the Diamondbacks and Mariners last season. Assuming the Orioles don't bring back Chris Davis, Trumbo should hit in the middle of the lineup, playing almost every day at either first base or designated hitter, making 30 home runs a legitimate possibility.

EDGE Analysis
Trumbo will take a seat for the second time this week, leaving Jesus Montero to first base and Logan Morrison in right field. The 29-year-old Trumbo has now hit safely in four of his last five games.

Trumbo is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Royals, Bob Dutton of the Tacoma News Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 29-year-old Trumbo has gone just 1-for-12 in his career against right-hander Jeremy Guthrie, Tuesday's starter for Kansas City. Meanwhile, Jesus Montero has gone 3-for-4 with a homer against Guthrie, so while they're both small samples, it makes sense manager Lloyd McClendon has opted to go with Montero at first base.

Trumbo went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI in a 5-0 victory over the Rangers on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Trumbo has been swinging a hot bat since mid-August, and decimated Rangers pitching in this series in particular, going 9-for-16 (.563) with one homer and 5 RBI. Thursday's performance brought Trumbo's current hitting streak to 12 games, but even more impressively, the veteran has hit safely in 24 out of his last 25 contests. He is on pace to close out the season with his best offensive month, going 14-for-37 (.378) in nine September outings so far.

Trumbo went a perfect 4-for-4 Wednesday, scoring three runs and hitting a two-run homer in a 6-0 win over the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Trumbo's hot hitting continued into Wednesday night, as the 29-year-old has now hit safely in 21 of his last 23 games. Acquired from Arizona in early June, Trumbo had a slow start with the Mariners but has picked up the pace in the second half. Trumbo's elevated strikeout rate is a concern, but his .195 ISO is a healthy improvement from last year's.
