Trumbo (back) is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Giants, Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times reports. Trumbo will be held out for a third straight game, but he did take batting practice Monday. The Mariners have to leave one of their usual starters on the bench in a National League ballpark, so it makes sense to take a cautious approach with Trumbo's back spasms. He may be available as a pinch hitter.
