Trumbo was scratched from Sunday's lineup against the Astros due to back spasms, MLB.com's Greg Johns reports. He was initially listed as the starter in left field, but was later replaced on the lineup card by Dustin Ackley after apparently aggravating his back at some point Sunday morning. Trumbo, who is off to a 6-for-37 start with the Mariners since being acquired June 3, should be viewed as day-to-day in advance of Monday's series opener against the Giants.
