Jered Weaver was able to play catch for the second consecutive day on Friday, this time at a distance of about 75 feet.
While it may not look like much, these are at least steps in the right direction. Weaver will throw again on Sunday, and could be looking at a return in mid-May as long as he doesn't suffer any setbacks.

Jered Weaver (elbow) plans to resume throwing Wednesday.
Weaver has been letting the elbow heal after X-rays last week came back negative. The Angels are calling it "activating" the arm, so the type and extent of the throwing is still unknown. Weaver looks to still be on track for a mid-May return.
