Jered Weaver (elbow) threw on flat ground from up to 100 feet on Wednesday. Weaver is throwing from flat ground on a nearly daily basis and, according to Angels manager Mike Scioscia, is "very excited" with how his elbow feels. There's no timetable for when he'll throw from a mound, but he's progressing as scheduled. Weaver is expected back in a few weeks.
