Jake Odorizzi was shelled for seven earned runs over five innings Wednesday in a loss to the Royals. Odorizzi had a strong debut last week against the Rangers and looked good in the early going on Wednesday in Kansas City, but the Royals popped him for two runs in the fourth inning and a five-spot in the fifth inning. Odorizzi is now 1-1 on the year with a 5.73 ERA. More ups and downs should be expected.
