C.J. Wilson allowed just one run on five hits over six innings in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Astros.
Wilson was solid for the most part, but he struggled with his command (four walks) and had to be removed at 115 pitches after working up a high pitch count. It was his first win of the season after getting no-decisions in both of his previous outings. Wilson's next start will come against the Tigers this weekend.

C.J. Wilson allowed four runs -- three earned -- in six innings against the Reds on Wednesday.
Wilson actually did pretty well to limit the damage, as he allowed five hits and four walks over his six frames. The 32-year-old lefty had his worst year as a starter in 2012 and he still won 13 games in the process. Wilson isn't a frontline guy, but he's a serviceable third or fourth pitcher in mixed fantasy leagues.

C.J. Wilson was absolutely obliterated in Friday's loss to the Royals in Grapefruit League action, surrendering eight runs (six earned) on eight hits and a walk over 2 2/3 innings of work.
Five of the seven outs that Wilson recorded came via the strikeout, so he has that going for him at least. Eric Hosmer and Jeff Francoeur each knocked one over the boards on the afternoon against him. He's had a very disappointing spring to this point, posting a 7.11 ERA and 1.97 WHIP over 12 2/3 innings, despite his 11/2 K/BB ratio.

C.J. Wilson allowed six hits but only one run over three innings in Thursday's win over the Padres.
He struck out one and served up a longball to Jesus Guzman. Wilson has now allowed 10 hits over his first 4 2/3 innings this spring, but the Angels really only care if he finishes Cactus League play healthy.

C.J. Wilson allowed two runs on four hits in 1 2/3 innings in his first Cactus League start Saturday.
Wilson struck out two batters while not allowing a walk, so it wasn't all bad for the Angels' lefty on the day. Wilson, 32, had surgery to remove bone chips from his left elbow shortly after the 2012 season ended, so any spring statlines should be taken with a grain of salt. Having made at least 33 starts in each of his three seasons since becoming a starter, Wilson is as durable as it gets these days. He is on track to be ready for Opening Day.

C.J. Wilson is on track to be fully recovered from elbow surgery by the opening of spring training.
Wilson had bone chips removed from his left elbow shortly after the end of the 2012 regular season. He has enjoyed a fairly normal winter to this point and should again carry decent value as a fantasy starter in 2013.

C.J. Wilson will need 4-6 weeks of recovery time following his October 23 surgery to clean out bone spurs in his pitching elbow.
Wilson pitched with the elbow issue for the last couple months of the season but wanted to delay a procedure while the Angels were chasing a playoff spot. The left-hander is expected to be 100 percent for spring training.
