C.J. Wilson allowed three runs on three hits and a walk in two innings of work against the Mariners Saturday. Wilson also struck out four, so it was a mixed bag for the southpaw in his first time out. It was also his first action since taking a line drive to the head during batting practice earlier in the week. The slight roughing up administered by the M's notwithstanding, Wilson seems to be OK and shouldn't have any lasting effects from the scare.

C.J. Wilson says he's "fine" after taking a comebacker off his head during live batting practice Tuesday. Wilson had to be carted off the field, but he sent out a lighthearted message on his Twitter account Tuesday afternoon and apparently passed all of the Angels' medical tests. "He was very cognizant; he was aware of what was going on, what was happening, and never lost consciousness," Angels GM Jerry Dipoto told reporters.

C.J. Wilson was taken for precautionary testing after he was hit in the left side of his head while throwing live batting practice. Wilson managed to leave under his power, but we should know more after he goes for tests. The Angels should provide an update soon.

C.J. Wilson yielded three runs over six innings Friday in a no-decision against the Rangers. Wilson walked away with a quality start, but that description is really stretching it. The southpaw needed 121 pitches to get through the six frames, giving up four hits and four walks while hitting two batters and throwing three wild pitches. It's not the way he wanted to go out, but he'll finish at 17-8 with a 3.39 ERA and 188/85 K/BB ratio over 212 1/3 innings. He's set to earn $54 million over the next three seasons.

C.J. Wilson racked up eight strikeouts on Sunday, but fell to the Mariners after allowing three runs on seven hits and a walk in his eight innings of work. Wilson surrendered an RBI double to Mike Zunino in the second inning, then kept the M's at bay until Jusin Smoak smashed a two-run bomb in the sixth inning. It's been another very solid season for the veteran southpaw, as he owns a 17-7 record, 3.36 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 181/81 K/BB ratio in his 206 innings of work. He'll wrap up his 2013 campaign when he takes the ball against his former team in Texas next weekend.

C.J. Wilson held the A's to one run on four hits over seven innings in Monday's victory. He struck out six and walked three. Wilson is now 9-0 over 13 starts since July 10, though he hasn't necessarily pitched much better in that time span. The left-hander entered that stretch with a 3.49 ERA; two months and six days later, it stands at 3.36. Wilson has a decent chance to extend his win streak on Sunday against the Mariners.

C.J. Wilson allowed three runs in five innings of a no-decision against the Rays on Tuesday. Wilson was fortunate to escape without more damage done, as he allowed eight hits and five walks in his five innings. The lefty also struck out five in the outing. It was just a stumble for Wilson, as he'd been very good in his previous four starts and still has a 3.36 ERA for the year. He'll look to get back on track against the Brewers in Milwaukee on Sunday.

C.J. Wilson cuffed the Indians to one run over 7 1/3 innings in a no-decision on Tuesday. Wilson struck out five, walked three and scatted four hits. The left-hander remains hot this month, going 2-0 with a 2.36 ERA and 21/8 K/BB ratio over 26 2/3 frames in four starts. Wilson, who hasn't lost a decision since July 5, doesn't have an easy matchup on Tuesday against the Rays.
