Coghlan was scratched from last Wednesday's spring contest due to a sore neck, but said on Friday that he would be ready for Opening Day. The announcement of Sunday's lineup confirms that assertion and suggests that this ailment will not have long-term consequences. Coghlan will draw the start in left field and bat fifth in the order against opposing starter Adam Wainwright.

He's having a good spring, hitting .318/.452/.545 with five RBI in 22 at-bats. He's expected to share left field with Chris Denorfia this year.
