Coghlan provided all the offense for the Cubs Monday, driving home Chicago's only run in the eighth inning. The former Marlin has looked good since the end of July, recording hits in 10 of his last 12 games with an at-bat. Coghlan now owns a .288 average and 23 RBI this season.

Coghlan is out of the lineup Tuesday versus Colorado. It looks to be nothing more than a scheduled day off for Coghlan, who is slashing .292/.368/.475 with 19 RBI and six home runs this season. He'll concede the starting left field spot to Junior Lake, who is joined by Justin Ruggiano and Arismendy Alcantara in the outfield.

Cubs recalled OF Chris Coghlan from Triple-A Iowa. The 28-year-old former National League Rookie of the Year was hitting .243/.379/.314 with six RBI and six stolen bases in his first 24 games at Triple-A. He'll provide additional depth in the outfield while Ryan Sweeney is sidelined, but shouldn't be an option in fantasy leagues.
