Anderson went 5.2 innings Saturday, allowing just one run on eight hits while striking out six in a 2-1 win over the Mets.
Other than a Juan Lagares solo homer, Anderson pitched well, working his way out of trouble repeatedly. He threw a career-high 107 pitches, which could be a factor in his next start, as Anderson has only exceeded 100 pitches twice this year. He's been a surprisingly solid fantasy asset, having allowed two or fewer runs in six of his last seven outings. Anderson's next start will be Friday in San Francisco.

Anderson had his poorest outing of the year Sunday in a no decision against the Brewers, allowing six runs on 10 hits while striking out three.
Anderson has allowed 10 hits in each of his past two starts and it caught up to him in this one. He limited the damage by not yielding a walk or a home run, which he has been very successful in doing all year. He remains a good candidate to post above average ratios, but the decline in his strikeout rate from 8.27 K/9 last year to 6.08 K/9 this year limits his upside and is a small red flag going forward.

Anderson scattered 10 hits and a walk over six innings, but only allowed two runs in Monday's loss to the Cardinals.
Just one of the hits Anderson allowed went for extra bases, which allowed him to minimize the damage and preserve his 2.59 ERA for the season. He also managed to skirt the loss, as teammate Mark Trumbo supplied a game-tying two-run homer in the eighth inning to have the outcome decided by each team's relief corps. Anderson can't count on these kinds of positive results with stranding runners and avoiding hard hits every time out, which suggests his ERA could begin to fade from its lofty perch. However, such a regression may not be significant, as Anderson's 3.16 FIP shows some support of his vastly improved surface numbers this season.

Anderson allowed one run on four hits and one walk in a career-high eight innings and struck out two against the Marlins to pick up his first win of the season Wednesday.
Anderson used his two-seam fastball to keep the Marlins' hitters off balance. He mixed his pitches and attacked the strike zone all night. Anderson (1-1) picked up his first win of the season in eight starts. He pitched into the ninth and left the bases loaded with nobody out, but Brad Ziegler was able to finish off the Marlins allowing just one run to score. Anderson's next start will be at St. Louis on Monday.

Anderson pitched 5.1 innings of one run ball Friday, but did not get a decision against the Phillies. He allowed three hits, three walks, and stuck out three in the contest.
Anderson threw just 59 strikes in 104 pitches as he could not find a groove in this one. He gone three consecutive outings allowing one run or less, giving him a 2.18 ERA and 1.10 WHIP in seven starts.

Anderson went seven strong allowing only one run on five hits in a no-decision, in the 6-4 loss to the Padres Saturday.
Anderson pitched very well Saturday, throwing only 93 pitches to get through seven innings, but only recording two strikeouts. His quality start and win was killed by his poor bullpen and that could be a theme with this Diamondback team. Anderson's next start won't come for eight days when he takes on the Phillies next Sunday.

Anderson threw his best game of the season on Sunday against the Dodgers, striking out seven and walking one across six shutout innings.
Unfortunately for Anderson, the Diamondbacks bats were stifled by Brett Anderson and the Dodgers bullpen before L.A. won the game on a walkoff home run in the 13th inning. Anderson is now the owner of a solid 3.38 ERA and will look to build on this strong start against the Rockies on Friday.

Anderson took the loss Tuesday against Colorado, pitching 5.1 innings and allowing five runs on eight hits and two walks, and striking out four.
Coming off his best outing of the year, this performance is a bit disappointing. Anderson's 4.24 ERA and 1.29 WHIP leave something to be desired, but his 3.37 FIP suggests he has been a bit unlucky. No need to worry yet if you were counting on him at the back of your rotation.

Anderson threw seven strong innings, allowing one earned run on three hits and striking out five, but didn't factor in the decision as the D-Backs bullpen imploded in a 7-1 loss to the Rangers.
Each of Anderson's three starts have gotten better with this one making his best of the season. His 3.00 ERA and 1.11 WHIP are supported by good peripheral stats and he has at least five strike outs in each of his three starts as he looks to become a solid mid-rotation option for the Diamondbacks.
