Anderson lasted just two innings Tuesday, getting tagged for six runs -- all of them earned -- on six hits in a loss to the Nationals. He also walked three and stuck out two.
"Chasing" Anderson is exactly what the Nats did in this one, knocking him around for five hits in the second inning to force his early exit. Anderson is now 7-5 on the season with a 3.71 ERA and 1.37 WHIP through 16 starts (87.1 innings) and will look for his second win in his last seven starts when he next faces the Padres on Sunday.

Anderson made a quality start at Miami on Thursday, allowing three runs and nine hits in six innings. He struck out five and walked two.
Anderson was in line for the win, but Arizona's bullpen gave up a run in the bottom of the eighth inning. He has been impressive as of late, reeling off six straight quality starts, with a 2.19 ERA during that span (37 innings). His next start will be against the Nationals on the road. Keep in mind, however, that his workload will probably be monitored down the stretch, as he's already hit a career high in innings pitched, and he also battled an elbow injury in 2013.

Chase Anderson lasted six innings against the Tigers on Tuesday, scattering five hits while striking out five and walking three.
The damage came on a first inning Miguel Cabrera RBI single and a third inning wild pitch that allowed Austin Jackson to score. Otherwise, Anderson was effective. While the game ended up being decided by the bullpen, this marks back-to-back quality starts for Anderson, whose ERA sits at a solid 3.58. He'll try to keep it going against the Reds in his next outing.

Chase Anderson got back in the win column Monday, allowing one run on seven hits over six innings against the Marlins.
Anderson has experienced a rollercoaster indoctrination into pro baseball: He won each of his first five starts, and then lost his next four before coming out on top this evening. The right-hander walked two and struck out eight. Anderson (6-4, 3.64 ERA) travels to San Francisco over the weekend.

Chase Anderson surrendered four runs on seven hits over five innings innings of Wednesday's loss to the Indians.
Anderson struck out four and walked three in getting slapped with his third straight loss. Things could have been worse, but both homers Anderson allowed were of the solo variety. This was just the second time in eight starts that Anderson has surrendered more than two earned runs. After falling to 5-3 with a 3.63 ERA, Anderson gets the Pirates next week.

Chase Anderson took a second straight loss Thursday after giving up three runs -- two earned -- in six innings against the Brewers.
Anderson improbably started out 5-0 for a mediocre Diamondbacks team, but he's taken back-to-back defeats now, even though he's doing the same thing he did when he was winning. He's allowed one or two earned runs in six of his seven big-league starts and has a 3.18 ERA overall.

Chase Anderson took his first loss as a major leaguer after allowing two runs in five innings Friday against the Dodgers.
Anderson was 5-0 before getting matched up against Clayton Kershaw for a second time tonight. As far as losses go, this obviously wasn't a bad one. He was far better than when he beat Kershaw in the 18-7 game against the Dodgers back on May 17. Given the Diamondbacks had scored a total of 45 runs in his previous five starts, he was about due to come out on the wrong end of a 4-3 game.
