Chase Anderson allowed two runs over seven innings, striking out eight, in a win over the Braves on Sunday. Anderson can't seem to lose. After limiting the Braves to five hits and a walk, the young right-hander is 5-0 with a 3.14 ERA in his five major league starts. What's more, he's getting better as time wears on. He'll get a chance to show just how good he can be Friday at the Dodgers.

Chase Anderson earned his third win in as many tries on Wednesday, allowing four runs -- one earned -- on eight hits over five innings in a 12-6 victory against the Padres. Incredibly, Anderson has received 35 runs of support over three starts. Arizona isn't necessarily thrilled with his performance, but he's pitching well enough to stick in the rotation for now. "We try to encourage him to throw the ball the way he's thrown it in the minor leagues," manager Kirk Gibson told MLB.com before the game. Anderson was 4-2 with an 0.69 ERA in six starts for Double-A Mobile earlier this year, while he's posted a 4.02 ERA and 1.34 WHIP so far in the pros. Anderson better hope his offensive friends turn out again in Colorado next week. His ERA isn't safe.

Chase Anderson moved to 2-0 as a big leaguer after giving up five runs in 5 1/3 innings Saturday against the Dodgers. If Anderson had dreamed of outdueling Clayton Kershaw, this probably wasn't exactly how it went. The Diamondbacks racked up seven runs in the second inning of this one, leading to a long wait for Anderson and a two-run top of the third. Anderson bounced back after that until the Dodgers rallied for five runs in the sixth, three of which scored off Anderson on Carl Crawford's homer. As odd as the circumstances were, we won't hold the runs against Anderson. He's a worthy play in NL-only leagues right now.

Chase Anderson earned the win in his first major league start on Sunday, allowing one run over 5 1/3 innings against the White Sox. Anderson gave up just two hits, one of which Moises Sierra swatted for a home run. He was otherwise stellar, striking out six while walking just one. He had a 0.69 ERA and 38/6 K/BB ratio in 39 innings at Double-A this year, and Sunday's start affirmed he'll get another start with the club. That start will likely come Saturday against the Dodgers.

Diamondbacks manager Kirk Gibson said Wednesday that the team is leaning towards starting Chase Anderson on Sunday against the White Sox. He's replacing Mike Bolsinger, who was optioned to Triple-A Tuesday. Anderson has battled injury issues since being taken in the ninth round of the 2009 draft, but the 26-year-old has stayed healthy this season at Double-A, posting a 0.69 ERA and 38/6 K/BB ratio in 39 innings. He could be worth a look in NL-only formats.

Diamondbacks recalled RHP Chase Anderson from Triple-A Reno. Anderson, 26, had an impressive 0.69 ERA and 38/6 K/BB ratio in 39 innings over his first six starts in Triple-A this year. He'll likely pitch in long relief initially, but could be an option to replace the demoted Mike Bolsinger in the starting rotation.
