Anderson will start Friday's game against the Astros, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Todd Rosiak reports.
EDGE Analysis
He will start the Brewers' fourth game of the season, as Matt Garza (shoulder) will be skipped the first time through the rotation, although when the Brewers are healthy Anderson slots in as the No. 5 starter. Anderson will oppose Scott Feldman for the Astros in what could be a fairly high-scoring affair.

Anderson owns a 10.13 ERA, 1.88 WHIP, and 4:0 K:BB ratio in 10.2 innings over four spring starts.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson has been anything but sharp this spring, but his poor performance will not prevent him from breaking camp as the fifth starter with his new squad. While he will break camp as part of the starting rotation, he will need to pitch better than he has over the last few weeks if he wants to hold down his spot.

Anderson was traded to the Brewers on Saturday in a five-player deal, ESPN's Keith Law reports.
EDGE Analysis
Perhaps the Brewers see something with Anderson that they think they can improve, but at the very least he will be a capable innings eater while their young pitchers continue to develop. He had a 4.30 ERA and 111 strikeouts in 152.2 innings with Arizona last year, and will see a downgrade in defense and run support in Milwaukee.

Anderson took a no-decision after 5.1 innings of work, allowing one earned run over four hits and three walks while striking out four in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson settled down after allowing a DJ LeMahieu sacrifice fly in the second inning, limiting the Rockies to just one run in his final start of the season. While he managed to improve his walk rate considerably from last season, Anderson's dreadful second half and paltry 6.54 K/9 leaves little reason to think he'll have mixed league value in 2016.

Anderson struck out ten Wednesday night, giving up one earned run on one hit while walking two in a 4-1 loss to the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson took a tough luck no-decision after a terrific outing -- retiring 18 of 20 hitters after giving up a leadoff home run to Chase Utley. Despite putting up eight runs in each of the first two games of this series against the Dodgers, the Diamondbacks offense could only muster one run of support for the right-hander. If nothing else, Wednesday's outing will secure Anderson's rotation spot through the season.

Anderson will receive the start Wednesday against the Dodgers, Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson was temporarily dropped from the rotation after giving up five runs over two innings back on a Sept. 8 against the Giants, but starter Rubby De La Rosa's struggles versus the Dodgers this season will result in manager Chip Hale granting Anderson another opportunity. The right-hander has been pummeled in eight second-half starts, producing a 6.08 ERA and 1.62 WHIP over 40 frames.

Anderson threw a four-inning simulated game on Friday and could make a start next week, reports Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson said that he is working on a cutter in his side work, which could diversify his repertoire. He threw his sim game on the same day that teammate Rubby De La Rosa took his regular turn, which could offer a tip about when Anderson would make his next start as manager Chip Hale previously suggested that De La Rosa may not make his next start against the Dodgers, against whom he has struggled. If Anderson does face the Dodgers, it won't be an easy assignment, but it will be on the road in a more pitcher friendly ballpark than Chase Field.

Anderson won't start on schedule, but could make another start before the season ends, reports Steve Gilbert of MLB.com.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson was roughed up in his last start against the Giants, so it's not a surprise to learn he won't take the hill in his regular spot. It's been a strange season for Anderson, whose first half 3.91 ERA and 1.21 WHIP over 101.1 innings looked decent, before he completely blew up in 40 second half innings, posting a 6.08 ERA and 1.63 WHIP. Coming into the year, he looked like a candidate to take a step forward based on peripheral numbers like his 3.67 xFIP in 2014, but now it's unclear where he fits as he wraps up a disappointing season.

Anderson took a beating and fell to 6-6 Tuesday against the Giants, as he allowed five runs on five hits and a walk over just two innings. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson gave up a pair of home runs and a double in the drubbing. It was Anderson's shortest start of the year and his fifth start of fewer than five innings. All five of those have come since June 23, over which time his ERA has jumped from 2.84 to 4.52.

Anderson allowed three runs on eight hits over five innings in a no-decision on Wednesday. He also struck out five Rockies in the 9-4 loss.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson threw just 81 pitches in this game and it was clear they wanted to be careful with the youngster after a Coors Field blow-up earlier this season. After a rough stretch, Anderson has not given up more than three runs in any of his last three starts. He'll look to keep that stretch going against the Giants next Tuesday.
